I almost glad I've done my back in, I was meant to go to the game this evening, but after that first 45 mins I'm glad I didn't spend 65 €'s on my ticket for one of the cheap seats!

Expected full on attack from them. We were far too narrow for their goal.  Barnes poor touch then Nacho waiting for the ball to fall on his foot instead of attacking the ball but hey ho.

Better game management in the second half and a bit more composure in front of the onion bag.

Tielemans ain’t gifted in physical game and Maddison even less so. There’s no one other than Hamza I’d consider bringing in for Tielemans unless you put KDH there.

Yup, Youri isn't getting a foothold in the game and he's not tricky enough to get fouls out of their pressures like Maddison can.

 

Would also get him on set pieces, because my word KDH is not on it with them today!

 

Shout out to Kelechi - he's held the ball up well to help us get back up the pitch. Really need Barnes and Lookman to be giving him more options though, but we've been pinned back for much of that half.

This is another hard watch. Losing too many fifty fifty challenges and miscontrolling the ball at the crucial moment. As for the effing corners…

 

I’ll be amazed if we don’t concede another goal. We have to score to get through.

I like KDH, but just wish his first touch was better and he would learn to look up and pass.

The game will pass him by if he’s not careful. Need a word from BR at HT.

 

Fofana excellent on return, the rest working hard, but need a bit of magic in the final third. Shame Barnes messed up that chance, should have scored.

Game is passing youri by, I just think maddison is more likely to get some decent balls in the box

Positives - recovered well from going behind so early. Negatives, we don’t have a great deal on the bench to change this so somethings going to have to go our way from the 11.

This. We are still playing way to narrow. 

Their LB has had the freedom of the park all game.
