hamptonfox Posted 3 August 2022 Posted 3 August 2022 If Chelsea are having to offer Colwill to Brighton to cover part of the £50M for their fullback purchase, then that suggests they won’t get close to £80M for another Centre Back, and they wanted the Brighton fullback at £50M far more than they wanted Fofana - at the £80M mark.
Spudulike Posted 3 August 2022 Posted 3 August 2022 Is the Colwill to Brighton a loan deal? Perhaps that's why we are not interested.
Lambert09 Posted 3 August 2022 Posted 3 August 2022 (edited) I personally wouldnt want to be in chelseas back pocket like this. They take fofana, then if we are slightly right in our judgement on Colwill and he's decent they poach him back for a reasonable fee. Not how we close the gap with........ them! Which is our underlining ambition after all ( no matter how hard it would be ) Keep fofana, explain to him why... he's a big boy... he'll get on with it. Sell him to a super power for 100m in a years time. I think this is actually good news in the grand scheme of things , Fofana is 1000x the player colwill is, or will become. Absolutely yes, Brighton selling one of their best players definitely places them ahead of us. And as for Newcastle, PHWAAAR they’ve upgraded their ice bins to paddling pools. So they’re a shoe in for 1st place. Damn you Wellens, it’s all your fault!

st albans fox Posted 3 August 2022 Posted 3 August 2022 Perhaps the player didn’t want to move to the midlands ? his home is soton and he can live somewhere between Brighton and there 1

filbertway Posted 3 August 2022 Posted 3 August 2022 Cucurella is a very tidy signing. Thought Man City should have bagged him. Cancelo and Cucurella as full backs would be delicious. No way will we sell Fofana to Chelsea this summer now. Unless we have some mad young CB lined up that we've not heard any links to. Imagine we sold Fofana and then signed Bednerak 1
