Whilst I dislike Grealish generally, it’s hard to deny that’s he’s one of the most technically gifted English footballers in quite a while. 
 

Anyway… Anyone want to talk about Madueke?

Madueke and Colwill in.

 

Soumare, Praet, Soyuncu & Vestegaard out and I'm happy.


I'd even take just bringing Noni in with Soumare & Praet out the door.

I think he's remarkably raw but has that x-factor we really lack. 

 

Barnes is far more of a winger who exploits space in behind. Madueke can travel with the ball far better. A little Saint-Maximim, without as much flair but more end product.

I just want someone on the right wing who is willing to stretch the pitch more. It's a bit like how Vardy gets more space when Barnes is on

But a lot of this is on Grealish. That's an opportunity, isn't it. Pep is probably the best coach in the world when it comes to developing attacking talent. If Grealish knuckles down and starts learning from him he could put some of those bad habits behind him and start reducing his average time in possession and learn to play for the team. 

 

I've made no secret of the fact I think he's hilariously and bafflingly over rated but he's got all the raw materials to be world class. His technical and athletic ability are incredible, just needs to show he can learn to engage his brain.

Exactly this. If we can get Madueke and Barnes causing havoc in wide areas, it gives Vardy as well as Maddison and Tielemans (or his replacement) more room to do damage centrally.

I fear this too mainly based on his own fitness/injury record at PSV. I'm sure I looked into it when we were linked with him a few months ago and also when we played them - he hadn't completed a full 90 all season.

This this… I mean look at Adama whilst at Wolves! His end product was non existent yet he still had at least a couple of players on him whenever he picked the ball up

I’m not particularly convinced either, but would welcome the transfer just to see an actual direct player who is meant to play in that position be given a chance to play there and see what he can achieve.

Agreed. There's definitely room for improvement with him given his age - demands of PL are more than what Eredivisie can offer. 

One of those where fans will perhaps have to be patient (hahaha!) as opposed to seeing someone give solid 7/8 out of 10s each game. But given that time, perhaps he'll find the consistency and won't feel as much pressure.

He would of been better off picking the ball up and giving it to the opposition, save out the headless chicken sprint, before losing it anyway

Had he not got injured last season or had his off the field issues then we wouldn't be in the mix for him and there was very little resistance from our fans when we wanted him last summer based on a very promising 1st season in PSV's first team and very strong European qualifying performances in July and August.

 

I agree he's a gamble based on last season but from a potential and skill set of the player then he's Wesley Fofanesque and these are the brave calls our experts have to make.

 

I love him. He ought to develop in to a beast of a player and I hope we can get him but the caveat is if they want stupid money then based on some question marks then I'd look elsewhere, even in a very scarce talent pool of left footed right wingers. There's some unbelievable players coming through in South America still not yet transferred, plus Tsyganakov deserves his shot in a top 5 European league.

Disagree although his end product was/is god awful his direct ability to turn defence into attack there’s not many better… the issue arises once he’s ran out of space to run into and he spaffs the ball out for a throw in lol
