Anyone else see when he shared a couple of neat passes had acres to run into for the return and didn’t? Just me?

I noticed him burst forward with the ball into space and then stop, turn back and give the ball away. Zero hope of him establishing himself in the prem

Still think he is to slow for the premiership

100% agreed. Same as Pogba, he is a great player in a slower league or alongside someone that provides protection so he can play.

Whilst you could argue to give him more time, it may be better for the bigger picture that we move on.

The U-turn on here because the kid had a decent half an hour against a probably relegated championship side in a friendlylol

No less reactionary that the shit our fans have been coming out with the last year. 22 year old coming to a new country and being asked to not just learn a new league but a new role as well? Kid was always on a hiding to nothing having that asked of him. Obviously he missed a few being away last season and if it's that he's not adapting to living in the UK and is homesick then let him go, but otherwise have some patience for Christ's sake.

There is not giving a kid a chance and making an educated guess on potential. Daka I think has oodles of talent and more importantly the tools to succeed in this league. If someone offered the same fee we bought him for, I would say no. Same with Lookman (I know he was on loan just roll with me here). You can see how they could thrive in this league.

Sometimes it is both business smart and kinder to the player and agree it is not going to work and part ways.

But the lad does obviously have potential, you don't play 43 games in all competitions for a side in European competition and winning their domestic league, majority of which was at the age of 21 (turned 22 February that season) without having something about you. Maybe he won't realise that potential here, maybe he hasn't settled in the UK and doesn't want to be here anymore. Rodgers and the coaches will know that working with him, but let's be honest, the fanbase doesn't know shit and makes snap reactions without half the details.

Not sure if he is slow, from the point of view of running. He chased their winger back on one occasion, blocking a cross/shot out for a corner. It may just be that his reactions and change of pace is not fast enough.

...he is probably just happy to get away from the club, the manager and his relationship with him (Rodgers), could be a factor!!!

What on earth is this based on? You have no more idea about his relationship with Rodgers than I do.
Didn’t you claim recently that he had been turning up late for training? Again something that nobody else backed up.

Are you actually a Forest fan?

From what I was advised, he’s well thought of and just needed time to adjust. We won’t sell to Monaco at a loss, if at all.

Vestergaard, Choudhury, Mendy and potentially Praet are more likely the players to exit.

Thing is that Sangare might not adapt straight away either.

He might need a season so should we sell him straight away too?

It is not necessarily just the case of the player's adaption.   There are external factors to consider- wage bills, other alternatives in the position and more.   You cannot just make a direct comparison of two examples.   In Soumare, we now have an inflated wage bill and an alternative homegrown in KDH which may push our need to sell.   Sangare next season for an example we might want to persist ie evidence of willingness to adapt, lack of alternatives if we sold Mendy and Hamza and more balanced wage bill for an example.

Running a football club is never black and white.

Just watching his shot again, the technique is there and excellent. It wasn't easy, a half chance from an awkward ball. He did really well to get a controlled effort on target and made the keeper save. Many other players would have put that in row Z.

....it was such a good strike, the body shape was spot on and that was executed by a DM as opposed to a top-class striker!!!

Hope he gets to play and enjoy his game in Ligue 1, it might have happened here, but he is going....

Better than the one Vardy lashed into the stands. :D Admittedly that one was a lot more difficult though.

I’m not saying you’re wrong but surely the fact he wasn’t even making the squad near the end of the season speaks volumes on how Rodgers views him?

According to John Percy we've been instructing agencies to find him a new club, which combined with his almost total absence from our team in the second half of the season means I would be very surprised if he's part of our plans. If Monaco meet our asking price surely he'll be gone.

“Well thought of”? - by whom? The manager, the players, the tea lady?

What does that mean anyway? He’s a good player, he’s got good attributes, he’s a polite young man who always says please and thank you?

In terms of being “well thought of” the only opinions that really matter are those of the manager and his coaching staff. If being “we’ll thought of” was based on their observations on his performances in competitive fixtures last season - then you’d have to question their judgement.

...the thing with Vardy is, that he is more than capable to score from that situation!!!
