good cup runs maybe even win the league cup with less games to worry about this season hopefully a lot less injuries and maybe finish 6th. Spurs Arsenal and Utd to all finish bottom half while villa , forest and Everton all get related with 4 wins between them. Other than that not to much 🙂

Despite Brendan frustrating the hell out of me at times, for what it's worth, I'm looking forward to him ramming all the negativity back down the throats of  his detractors around the forums at the moment. Having said that, nobody will own up that they were wrong if he does. :fc:

The fraud will be gone by Christmas. That’s what I’m looking forward to

Why are you looking forward to City doing badly

Not a lot to be honest. I’d be surprised if we’re fighting for Europe again. I think we’ll be destined to mid table mediocrity; hopefully it isn’t the start of a downward spiral towards relegation in a few years time if we’re not careful.

Honestly think I’ve never been so non plussed about a season starting than this one. Travelling all over the shop really took it out of my so I’ve loved having the time to reset without getting wound up by it all.

I’m sure when we are right on the Eve of the season I’ll be looking forward to having a laugh with mates.

Agree with this. The club is running at an unsustainable level (lots of money being written off in bad signings and high wages, an overpaid manager) so unless we somehow pluck some gems and sell some of the shit I would say we are likely to be left behind by the top 8 and as Everton saw last year, that next 12 is a few bad months away from oblivion.

Sitting in the West stand really cold for a 2nd round League Cup game because thats the only stand open and some old stinky woman complaining about everything until the final whistle goes and we've lost 0-1 to someone like Forest Green

It'd be nice to be able to moan about the crap football rather than the lack of transfer activity.

Most boring off-season ever.

To take our chances and get the points at times last season our performance deserved.

I think we were 9 points off where we should have earned last season (61) this would have been 6th place. Me and my son objectively went through every match, some we got points where we didn’t deserve, others vice versa.

missed chances and calamities errors all playing a part.

Don't get me wrong I think expected goals and expected points are stupid stats, but we outperformed our expected league position quite considerably last season:

Getting to the front of the pie queue at half-time without missing the second half. How is it they always seem to achieve this at away grounds?

Oh, and Jamie Vardy getting another golden boot

The FA bringing in the no heading law meaning we stop conceding from set pieces.

Top 8 finish. Playing good progressive football, a cup run and a development player breaking into the 1st team. Finally our fans getting behind our club 🏆
