Defensively looking very solid, especially defending corners… continue that, and make it difficult for them. We could do with getting forward ourselves though just to take some pressure off.

TBH I would take the 0-0 all day long, and I suspect many others would. You just hope it isn't a 1-0 win with a goal for them in the last 10 minutes!

Which is pretty much how the last two home games against them have gone …

I think we've done really well here, we've restricted them to long rangers and crosses and have looked threatening on the couple of occasions we've counter attacked, we just need to take those chances when they come along.

Amartey and Danny Ward all doing really well!

Defensively excellent, our ball retention has to be better but you can hardly blame them with Manchester City’s relentless press.
Sensing a late Vardy shithouse to send Rodri home crying.

Great to see some defensive organisation so credit where it's due. Still, it's too negative and that's likely to bite us. Needs to get somebody else higher up the pitch or even have a high initial line of engagement before dropping off. Wouldn't matter if these lads were on top of the world confidence wise because they'd still have no out ball so impossible to hold onto the ball.

People going overboard 'cos Rodgers doesn't play Soyuncu then when he does and shows trust he's still wrong!

Classic "l hate Rodgers so I'll attribute something bad to everything he does".

Been solid so far in defence and team selection worked first half.

Credit where its due.

just me...or have our two/three chances been better than theyve had?

It does feel like that - but I'm ridiculously blue tinted.

I mean its 11 men vs 11 men its not hard to expect us to be less respectful and have more of a go. Yes we’ve defended well so far but its been attack vs defence and we are just waiting for the inevitable.

This is the kind of post I was referring to. It's not inevitable and we're defending against the potential they have. And we're doing it well.

Someone has just mentioned it but again so long as we don't ship a hateful of goals in the second half it's a joy to see us defending with everything we have and not looking all over the place

Defensive masterclass.

Make them play through all 11 on the edge of the box, crosses come in we have 5/6 players there to clear the ball.

Only issue is we can't keep the ball and when we go forward there is very limited options.

Nil nil would be great result.

Also at some point KdB could ping in a worldie from 30 yards

We’ve had 11 men on the edge of our area and they’ve still managed to work the ball through and get in behind a few times. Eventually with their quality we will get punished with this game plan.

It’s a bit like watching a game of chess between Bobby Fischer and Joey Essex …..

Wasn't Fischer found to be a cheat?
