Yeah, that is somewhat true, but how can you apply this for a player who has had basically no chance?

 

I really hope Southgate was watching tonight. Not only should he just be in the squad, but I would strongly make a case for him starting. 
 

It isn’t even about tonight, he has had the most goal contributions in the league for ages now. It’s actually laughable at this point. 

Especially when you consider England's actual form. No wins since March, no competitive wins this year. His tried and trusted squad of the usual faces have badly let him down recently. 

 

I also don't get the argument he doesn't fit the way Southgate plays, you need a plan B and if you're a goal down with 20 to go you need players that can unlock defences.

I was Brendan out but, but if we beat West Ham an go 10th, I fully change that opinion in top level sport any manager is only 4-5 good or bad results away from the current opinion needing to be changed as elite performance is ultimately about winning, only a select few are so good they can choose how they win.

Great performance. Again, Faes has made such a difference. Maddison is on a different planet at the moment. Good on the ball, solid defensively, dangerous going forward. Credit where it’s due to Brendan. The players are on side clearly, and he has changed things for the better. Hopefully we can get a result of some sorts against West Ham and go into the break in a good place

Didnt see it but nice to see us actually dominate the stats. Especially against a team thats been solid at home.

 

Just gotta enjoy Youri for the next 6 months. What a specimen. Its amazing what he can do when he's allowed in the other teams half

We are the strangest team ever!! First 7 games we concede 22, then the next 7 we concede 3!  And on top of that we're now top scorers away from home, despite starting the game in the relegation zone!

Yes, but remember, this is a team that was as good as relegated one year and then won the league by 10 points the next. When you look at everything that’s gone on over the last 30 years we’ve got to be one of the most exciting teams to have watched. 
 

I’ve seen 7 promotions, 2 as champions, 2 as play off champions, 3 league cup finals (2 wins), a premier league title, FA Cup, 2 community shields (1 victory). How many teams outside the obvious money clubs can compete with that? We’re a crazy club to support and I love it.

Fantastic performance that. Played some great football, looked dangerous going football and solid at the back. Limited them to one clear chance. Another clean sheet. After a terrible start, it’s nice to see that we have turned a corner.
