No it's not. If we win Rodgers keeps his job and we continue this horrendously patchy form that will see us relegated.

The longer Rodgers stays the less likely we survive the drop. I'd take a loss against Brentford if it gave someone else the chance to come in and shake things up.

He isn't getting sacked regardless. We need to win. As much as I can't stand Rodgers I can't believe anyone would actively want us to lose in the hope we sack him.

No, because one definitively moves us closer to safety (More points) and one only theoretically may, and to say it definitvely will is just preferential bias, and this is not a debatable conclusion as it is a fact.

The little upturn in form and keeping pre world cup has certainly benefited us in the long term this season :D

This isn't sticking behind a bunch of lads who are trying their best but ultimately not good enough. This is wanting the one thing that is consistently hamstringing the club out of the picture.

To be honest, the fact this is even a discussion at this point, it doesn't really matter as it's quite clearly everybody at the club is on LSD or something and have no grasp on reality. So wins or losses, we'll be down next season if not this.

Thats obviously fair enough, and its your opinion, which is all it can ever be - right? I am only saying 3 points for a win is 3 points nearer to safety, wishing us to lose to get rid of Rodgers is a hypothetical benefit and no more and could in fact relegate us.

It'll be a loss because Brentford are pretty decent at home, create a shit load of chances and we won't be able to handle the likes of Toney (who'll score a penalty after a clumsy Amartey challenge), Jensen, Wissa, Mbuemo etc etc...

Iversen

Pereira - Souttar - Evans - Castagne

Mendy

Tete - Maddison - Barnes

Daka - Iheanacho

4-1-3-2.

I'd rather we just go for it. We clearly can't stop conceding, so why not just try and get more going forward lol. At least go down and out with a bang...

Evans wouldn’t last 10 mins in that lineup 😂 see your point though.

2-0 Brentford.

Rodgers says we didn't take our chances, but we'll continue on fighting.

It will be in our own hands. Still.

Our tiny clapping hands.

I’m a season ticket holder so go to all the home games and, watching them live, I know when I’ve got zero confidence for the subsequent away game. This is one of those times.

I will do what I’ve done of those previous occasions and not bother to follow it on the day. It’s just too depressing and painful at the moment. I will go on to FoxesTalk late on and inevitably find that the “Relegation”, “Brendan Rodgers” and  “Danny Ward” threads have all gone hot.

I will know then that the wheel of madness has predictably turned another revolution with exactly the same issues repeated.

Stanmore then tube in, not even worth going on Fox Travel for free ffs.

FYI, for those planning to go from Stanmore, the Overground has engineering works on the weekend so you will need to change more and it will take a bit longer than normal.

Another option is driving to somewhere on the Piccadilly line (e.g. Uxbridge) and getting a direct tube to Acton Town (20 min walk to ground from there).

You would think.

However I reckon there are some on here who would be happy to see the club implode and go out of existence just so they could say they were right about how bad Rodgers was. Wanting us to lose so he might get sacked is nothing.

Ward

Ricardo Souttar Evans Castagne

Ndidi Mendy

Tete Maddison Barnes

Daka

I wouldn't have Tete anywhere near the starting line up, scared to tackle and has the strength of a 6 yr old. Brentford would batter him

Just seen the free fox travel offer to Brentford. If I’m being cynical and that the club article mentions no drinking….

That’s cruel, I need a serious drink before watching us play.

That my good man looks just like Rodgers pre-match team notes.

Totally incomprehensible sh1t that no one understands and gets no results when the Enter key is hit.  Even a 60Min 'De-Bug' offers no better outcome. Just causes more errors.

I do wonder whether Evans coming back will bring a calmness to the defence. Faes has been reckless lately and probably needed taking out but Amartey coming in wouldn't settle it.

Still won't fix the goalkeeper issue but to be honest we have to stop shots coming in.
