Txiki Begiristain is a genius, they have phenomenal staff and they negotiate very well, targeting round pegs for round holes and never almost never being pushed in to over paying. 

 

You'd have to be beyond thick to laugh at the suggestion that they are well run. Look at what United and Chelsea have done with comparable spends.

I think Vardy’s reply is the only reply he could give, he can’t offer himself his next contract, it’s on someone to decide whether to offer one and what it would be in terms of length and salary. But by saying “Rudkin” as opposed to “the club” or a vague “they” he has personalised it even though we’d have joined up the dots ourselves anyway.

Had he said “ I won’t be and that’s on Rudkin” then there would rightly have been scenes and Rudkin would have needed a police, nay S.A.S. Escort to get out of the Haymarket!

It depends what Vardy’s demands are. I’m not an apologist for Rudkin but it’s his job to act in the

best interests of the club not in the best interests of JV.

Vardy is totally different to those other players we've foolishly handed out stupid contracts to.
