If we can get Evans on a sensible contract (pay as you play or massively reduced wage) then I'm all for him staying, he has enough quality to contribute.

As for the rest, their time was up. Only Mendy and Soyuncu can look back on this season and say they've done ok, really.

Even if they had signed contracts to stay previously, we’d want most of them gone as we simply couldn’t afford them. Plus, we aren’t getting good fees for most of them.

Think I’d rather start fresh wish players on wages we can now control.

Glad we look to be bringing Hamza back into the fold. Seemed to be well liked at Watford and good enough for the level. At the very least, it will give our midfield some of the bite we've been lacking with the shrinking violets we've had at DMF this season. While I don't expect him to suddenly become the best we've ever had, I'd hope the past year has maybe helped him develop a little of the football intelligence he lacked when he went. We'll see.

For the rest, auf wiedersehen, thanks for helping us trim the wage bill, which currently resembles the ending scene of Akira. Some I'm sad to see leave (Mendy, Soyuncu) - the rest I never wanted to see in a Leicester shirt again.

my first instinct was get rid, but if he's happy to hang around on a small wage, possibly with a look towards us supporting him in a coaching role, his experience in the dressing room could be a benefit

...I have listened to his interviews and he does not come across as a leader or someone who could go into management!!!

He is a good example on the pitch but I do not feel he has any integrity and could not commit to a structured life, where people have to rely on him. Outwardly everything about him should say "leader" but it doesn't.

Based on last season, he has to be paid on a play and pay basis, just too much of a sicknote, last 2 years and chocolate hamstrings etc., age, the list goes on.

IF he plays 23 games, we'll have done well should he stay.

Anyone remaining from this season should be on a pay to play contract. We owe them nothing.

Sicknote Evans can GTF.

Are we showing Jannik Vestergaard the way out or keeping him as a pet Danish speaking donkey for Daniel Iversen ?

Here's a thought - the new manager might bring him into the fold.

Vesty and Evans.

Evans would be waste of money, he's spent 70% of his leicester spell on injury table. Not his fault. But makes you think is it time for him to consider hanging his boots up.

so did james justin & ricardo

THAT is the biggest travesty of the lot!

...he will be on the next list!!!

This will tell us just how ruthless the club are willing to be, as we may look to negotiate to terminate contracts or accept low offers to get players out of the club.

perhaps not management, but future he might fancy a coaching role, but for this coming season, a mentor and a rotation player, he was voted captain by the players and maybe a positive in the dressing room. Remember the 9 against Southampton, it was Evans pushing the players on so I'm led to believe

Shame Amarty is going

Would have been amusing seeing him & Thomas outclassed in championship

I guess Evans sort of makes sense, he’s a leader and if he cuts his deal from 100k to say 60k a week, that’s 3.1m for the season which isn’t too expensive for his experience, but tbh he’s probably going to get injured in about a month anyway, so who knows.
