Like many others , he massively regressed under that tosspot.

New manager with fresh ideas and a good pre season,  then he could get back to his old self a bit , which was some player.

Sell if a good offer comes in but we can't ignore how good he was and at 26 , he's good a few good years left in him

I reckon he's the same age as Musa.

He was 26 in 2015.

If Maresca wants to develop Peps style of football at the club, he’s the last name on the team sheet

.. I  would love to see him under another manager after a good pre-season!!!

His biggest flaw is his short passing, it needed to have been looked at and corrected either by the player or his coach. His longer range passing is good and uses a different technique to passing the ball at short ranges.

In a system where playing with the ball to feet is paramount, he will always be the trigger for opponents to start a press.

The new system precludes his inclusion,  so he has to go.

Says he was born 16th December 1996

That makes him 26 atm

Is that wrong?

...look, Ndidi and other members of a Nigerian youth football team were found to have a bone scan that called his age to be questioned!!! That has followed him around for ever and will until he retires. That is the reason for the covert posts regarding his age.

If ndidi could rediscover form then we would 100% finish top.

Think the lad needs a move to rediscover form though.

Or the Goblin gone, we may see a real resurgence of a few players

Wilf was a player that Brendan loved.  he won’t regain form on the back of him not being here. with a year left he has to be sold

Liking someone doesn't mean being coached well, could easily mean the opposite

Personally think he looked unfit as did so many of the players last season - if a decent offer is not forthcoming and he has a decent preseason I would trust the manager to make a judgement - some of the lads we have are good players but they had the life and confidence drained out of them by BR - wilf in particular was told he had to learn to be Pirlo which was never happening and get him back to do what he’s good at and he would be an asset.

I've mentioned this before but his turn in form changed after him and his wife lost a child, also with niggling injuries hasn't helped him find any form either

As you've mentioned some very very personal issues, which can be life changing for some people. Combine that with those injuries. It's not too difficult to show a little empathy to him as a person after we've sacked a manager that has mismanaged most of the squad.

The masterclass from Rogers is to insist a player tries to adapt to his style rather than play to the strengths of the players you have.

Maybe he needs that different environment to refind that form.

If personal issues were the cause of his downfall over the last 2-3 seasons then he should’ve been taken out of the team entirely for his own wellbeing. From a footballing perspective alone I would look to replace him as our main CDM. Whatever the reason, his decline has been significant and long term. On the pitch he’s been a liability if we are being honest -  it’s very sad if this is due to ongoing personal issues. :(
