He was allowed to play on, while injured, in a meaningless pre-season friendly. That's not great management of an injury is it? He should have not been allowed to 'run it off' in a game that meant nothing, especially.

...pretty much Ricardo's original problem, he played on even though he was injured in that game against Villa!!!

Make you wonder just how deep the purge has gone in respect of personnel, are we still using staff who struggle to assess injuries on the pitch?

We only bought Souttar in January. It’s bonkers that the club have thrown him on the scrap heap already.

If he doesnt make the grade, it is what it is.

Of course he may end up staying and getting in the team, its only a few games gone.

But he does have the benefit of not being Jannick Vestergaard.  Blows my mind that JV gets in the team ahead of Souttar.

Yes I totally agree with you.

Its my only real bitch with Maresca so far !

I'm hoping there is a master plan in place that Enzo is proving some kind of point.

My biggest complaint is that Vestergaard gets turned so easily & has no chance of getting back in the play.

I assume Enzo has seen something that he doesn't like but it worries me !

Apparently he wasn’t wearing one of those protective boot things so does that means he is making progress quicker than reported or would you not wear one anyway for this sort of injury anyway ?

Why does he look so skinny compared to Foster and the other guy lol

Coady isn't a big lad, not even sure if he's over 6 foot.

Probably making steady progress given its been 4(ish) weeks already. I suspect he has to wear it at times, but now doesn't have to wear it all the time.

Was wearing one in the tunnel for cov game so I’m taking it as progress!

Think the problem with Souttar is he doesn’t have the leadership or experience to replace Coady, nor the pace or skill for the Faes role, think he’s a victim of the system more than anything

So, I would take that remark as a bit of a crap buy then.

I would say that he already has made the grade being a stand out player at this level with his previous club and catching the eye at The World Cup.  Baffling to me why he has been left out in the cold.  Perhaps he's upset someone?

If we had survived and played a more defensive tactic where we’d be entrenched deep I think he’d be very decent, didn’t go that way though so yeah pretty much.. Think he’d do well somewhere like Luton where they would look to sit deep and counter

His performance's for us is what counts, is his playing out the back ability up to par as well?

We saw him after the game. He wasn't parked in the players carpark and signed autographs for fans for ages. Came across as a really nice bloke and was lovely and chatty with my son. Said he thought he was 'weeks' away.
