Impressed with his shot stopping and decisions to come out off line a few times, hard to say about his passing as we wasn’t helped by being given some awfully timed back passes and also poor movement and options in front of him in 1st half particularly.

For me was MOTM today closely followed by Ben Nelson.

made several crucial saves and looked decent with his feet too. More than happy for him to be the number 2 and push Mads for the starting spot.

Easily MOTM today. Only for him first half we'd be out of the Cup now.

Just needs to improve his distrbution.

Going to excuse his passing because Choudhury isn't up to it. With Winks or Ricardo he'd be better.

His keeping was exceptional in the first half.

Winks, Riccy, Vesty and Faes make a huge difference. I think Mads would have struggled today. Distribution will improve with a run of games, and the good thing is that Stolarcayk gives it a go and doesn't let the mistakes phase him.

Would be refreshing to see him start a run of league games to see how he handles the added pressure but I suppose Mads is perhaps Enzo's pet 'keeper in the league?!

Seems like a lot of us rate him, and I’m certainly one of those. Feels like it’s a bit like the Raya - Ramsdale situation at Arsenal, in so much as that they are both very good keepers.

I wonder if there will become a point where he will want first team football somewhere, or we try and keep him as backup for the time being and then introduce him when and if we sell Mads in a few years time for good money. After last seasons fiasco, at least we know we have good options at goalkeeper now.

I think Stolarczyk is a better shot stopper than Hermansen, while the latter is clearly better with the ball at his feet.  It's hard to know how much of Stolarczyk's shambolic distribution in the first half was due to having a ragtag lineup with no cohesion and limited ball-playing skill and positional sense in front of him, but clearly it's an area he struggles with.  But if it hadn't been for his heroics, we could easily have been 2 or 3 down at the break.

The problem is, in the modern game ball-playing keepers are generally favored over shot-stoppers.  And a keeper who struggles with distribution will never be a #1 in Enzo's system.  That said, Enzo won't be here forever, and Stolarczyk decisiveness coming off the line really impressed me as much as the saves he made.  He has real talent and I'd like to see us find a way to keep him around - keepers who keep the ball out of the net are seriously underappreciated.

He is actually a good ball playing keeper, it’s just that for whatever reason it didn’t happen yesterday in the first half.

Always been a fan. I do think though the lad has national first team ambitions and some time soon will want regular game time. We'll do well to keep hold of him as a no.2 as he's young and to be fair has a much higher ceiling than Conrad Logan.

If he manages to improve his passing Accuracy he could be one of the best in the country in my opinion, Shot stopping and collecting crosses excellent

Agree, he is not scared coming away from goal to make saves.. And so far proved to be great shot stopper who not only in this game, has all his angles

right.. Secure in coming out for corners.

We have 2 excellent GKs.

One position that we shouldn't worry about for 2--3 seasons. Both can go deep with us, If & when they want to try their luck elsewhere, they are both young  enough to stay with us awhile, with both Mads & Jakub, sharing a bit more the gametime in the League..

This exactly. Most of his passing was fine. People have short memories as Mads has made some poor passes during league games in the season with first teamers in front of him. What impressed me the most was that some of the shots were low down close to his body and for a big guy he gets down well. Very impressive imo.

I said it before, although the passing wasn't working out, he didn't panic and once we strengthened up at the back in the 2nd half (and got our goal!) everything settled down. In the first half, i think Mads would have struggled with that back line, and Brum targeted it aggressively as well -  most their players looked knackered at half time.

Very different story if Jakub had Riccy, JJ, Wout and Vesty with him. Was very brave of Enzo not to play one of the big 2 in CD.

I think he has great potential. Would actually love to see him get some games in the full strength squad as I remembered he gave a good account of himself against Huddersfield earlier in the season.

Yeah I think there's probably something in that. To the naked eye his distribution looks below the current Leicester standard, that being Hermansen. However, he's played in some disjointed line ups in the cup and you are right he doesn't look hesitant in his play.

I really like him, shot stopping wise he's excellent. That combination is needed because Hermansen for a modern goalkeeper is also superb at shot stopping, to think we might have a back up keeper with similar ability is frightening.

I thought his distribution was meant to be a lot better than it was yesterday. Great shot stopper performance but I think my expectations of him were unfairly high
