Everton can go and suck a bag of dicks.

The last trophy they won was in 1995.

Since then we've won the League Cup twice.

The Community Shield.

The FA Cup.

And the mother****ing Premier League.

We upset the "big clubs" - for whom the Premier League is literally set up in their favour - SO MUCH that they tried to set up their own league to keep us out, twice.

Everton have now joined the ranks of Man City and Chelsea for officially being cheats.

Whatever they achieve in Bramley Apple Docks or whatever, will forever be connected with their cheating.

But what's really ****ing satisfying is that they'll never see anything like this:

Never.

Because we ****ing earned that. It's ours, and can never be taken away.

Because we're not ****ing cheats like Everton, Chelsea, Man City, Arsenal, Tottenham, Man Utd, Liverpool and Newcastle.

Those clubs, every single one of them, realised they couldn't compete fairly on the pitch, so either cheated or tried to change the rules to cheat us.

**** em.

Exactly .

I was only a young 9 year old when they won something.

Almost 3O years later ..

Worth following up and taking action for this bit:

Whether clubs proceed with litigation in this latest case, whether it is successful, and what all this uncertainty may mean for Everton's proposed sale by owner Farhad Moshiri to the US investment firm 777 Partners is unclear. But the doomsday scenario for the Toffees is that the club end up being ordered to pay more in compensation than the new owners can afford, and that administration follows, along with a further nine-point deduction, almost certainly condemning the team to relegation.

We could view ourselves as the footballing plumbers, unclogging the the bogs so the turd will flush!

I suspect that any legal action will be stalled until after this season finishes. Therefore administration and a further 9 point reduction will be saved for a future season to lessen the effect.

Correct. It wouldn’t happen that quick and even if it could, the PL would stall to give the secondary deduction when it’s safe to do so from a keeping Everton in the league perspective.

I agree with the consensus on this thread that there’s no realistic chance they go down. Burnley are done (something we need to note if we go up for next season), Luton despite winning at GP, will be more than what would have been 10 points behind.

Sheff Utd is an interesting one. They had some very tight games against some top teams earlier in the season and were getting their confidence sapped, culminating with the 8-0 at home to Newcastle. But they have picked up a couple of good results in the past two games and have their tails up, they also have Burnley, Bournemouth and Luton coming up. Would love to see them pull away a bit as it’s only really those 3 and Bournemouth that Everton will be able to catch.

As fantastic as our club's achievements have been, it's not exactly been squeaky clean either. To be fair, very few of the top clubs have been, so you can argue the degree of our misdemeanor is minor compared to others. But let's not be holier than thou and instead ask that punishment is more consistently and systematically assigned (looking at you Chelsea and Man City et al).

So by delaying it another club who may not go down this season if it happens will join the compensation train.

The reason all this is happening is because it's been dealt with so slowly.

What happens when man c get done. We have 2 champions league claims against them.

It's just a shame it's happened at a season whereby the relegation crop are just about the worse it's ever been.

Even with 10 points deducted they'll easily clear Burnley, Sheffield Utd & Luton.

Which is probably why any litigation claims will ultimately fail.

The whatifs and buts and the almost endless compensation loops means it's not realistic to expect anything but a sporting punishment in the form of points deduction, relegation, transfer sanctions or maybe just fines that would/should go to grassroots football or to the EFL, whose clubs are increasingly on the edge of bankruptcy.

Christ almighty this is one epic rant. Not quite sure I understand it but I applaud the effort and the amount of swearing involved. But remember, not allowed to talk politics or say cancer on this website, don’t wanna be libellous or offend

The general consensus in the media seems to be that Everton have been harshly treated, with plenty of Everton shills going into bat for them. My favourite was Leon Osman saying that the points deduction was harsh because Everton "tried really hard" to stay within the rules.

I had to google that. And what a fabulous word it is!

It’s even more stupid considering my understanding is that this is to do with the structure of interest payments for their stadium. So they managed to waste all that money on crap players, and managed to fall within spending limits, but then done on the manner of their accounting. Absolute idiots and no sympathy at all.

LCFC since 1995: won the top 3 tiers, 2 league cups, Community Shield had 4 promotions, 4 relegations, won a play-off with the last kick of the domestic season, lost another to one of the most iconic goals of modern times and got there with the last kick of our league season. Nearly went bust, joined the nouveau riche, reached the 1/4 finals of the UCL and 1/2 final of the Conference League.

Everton: stayed up, that's it, for 28 years!

Interesting that in their response, Everton said that they would be monitoring with interest the outcomes with respect to other teams. Wonder who they mean.......

the PL/FA could leave themselves wide open if they bottle it in respect of Man City, Chelsea etc. Also given the punishment dished out in their case I am sure (like everyone else) that everton will expect something proportionate given the number of alleged breaches committed by Man City in particular.

on the other hand, the cynic in me thinks that by dropping charges in the other cases, it gives the powers that be an excuse to accept an appeal and reverse the decision against Everton.

Wouldn’t be having that nonsense, the three cases must be treated with distinct independence, and the other two are far more complex so will take much longer to come to a conclusion.

what’s more interesting, will be to see if we decide to sue man city and chelsea for our lost champions league money…
