Transfer embargo

Serious question, did you want Vichai held accountable for breaking them the last time we had were in the champ?

Or do we just give that a pass because we won the league before agreeing our fine?

When we were last in the Championship our fine was a result of a genuine misinterpretation of the rules and the EFL acknowledged that.

End of summer window, i was pretty angry we hadn't signed anyone, i thought as a result we'd get relegated, and i was right. Top issued a statement saying they were trying to adhere to PSR ffp rules and the future of the club. It seems despite this we probably broke psr anyway.

The reason for this attempting to keep our European squad by paying them more than their worth, failing to make Europe left a £40m black hole, unable to sell on players without a large loss and our low finish 22/23 also cost us.

Can anyone explain to me how this is the clubs fault?

I think i was wrong to be angry summer 22, i just didnt believe what was happening, its clear now we are a unique cass, i cant see how this could have been forseen. Maybe theres something ive missed.

I'd say Brendan sold Top a crock of shit that if we made these signings he'd avoid Relegation.

Top in his naivity believed him. Then when you couple that with not being able to remove the finge players left us with unsustainable costs and a third of the Squad full of players surplus to requirements. Had we been able to move them on the income would have kept us within FFP rules.

We lost out on Champions league because of Brendans refusal to replace Ulloa with someone similar. A proper CF would have got us the few goals we needed to qualify for CL.

Just as a proper CF would help get us the few results we now need for promotion guaranteed. That's how small the margin is.

Top is inexperienced in Professional Football but he's also been poorly advised by Rudkin as DOF. who's also learning on the job.

The smartest thing Top could do now is bring Pearson in as DOF. He's knows the game well, Has the Contacts. Is respected by Players and doesn't suffer Fools.

Vichai was clearly a very sussful business man and credit to him, he brought Pearson back recognising he made a mistake in sacking him.

I doubt it will happen though. Top will need to learn fast or we could end up in Div two.

What makes you think the fans you have such distaste for, are not up for the fight?

Seriously?

People got spat at for wanting Rodgers out last season and attacked for daring to question the board.

Our fans are a bunch of yellow bellied bitches

Rogers

I’m not sure what I despair about more.

The state of English football governance or that an LCFC fan can’t spell the name of one of the protagonists of our demise.

It’s Rodgers ffs!

I don't know if it's been mentioned but if we're still under a transfer embargo we don't get Fatawu like we should when we go up in the summer.

I'm not a doom and gloom person but this could well be the end of Leicester City as I/We know it.

Not too sure it would be that straight forward

The embargo has been put on us by the EFL but if we go up we would officially be a Premier league team sometime in June which would be before Fatawu’s loan contract would end - I don’t think EFL rulings like that would carry into the Prem?

He is also already registered at the club and then you would end up getting into contract law regarding how the obligation works and it being a deal that was in place before the embargo was put in place etc…

I don’t think it would be as simple as we wouldn’t be able to get him anymore

I agree with a lot of what you say, or i did. I thought we blew CL both seasons for not strengthening in jan, and when we were looking for a manager, i thought benitez good for the club as hed steer top in football finance matters

We have breached them, that’s why they’ve done it. It’s just not been publicized yet

Huh? The 2023/24 reporting period has yet to run out, so what exactly is to be “publicized”?!

I've literally always had this feeling, even when we were in the Premier League doing well, that when Top left we'd be in ruins. Even more so since Vichai.

You can just picture the news articles, news pieces and documentaries asking whether our success was all worth it as.it pans to the Birch wiping off the dust on the rowing machines as we move back in to Belvoir Drive

Because those clubs won’t sign replacements right?

No but they're in a rebuilding phase. We've seen Brentford even with Toney back slip back down the league. Bournemouth are no great shakes and there's little to fear from the other bottom half clubs. My point is it's not the strongest PL we've faced and nowhere near as evenly balanced as our last relegation season.

The legal proceedings will be as good as the IT specialists we hired to prove that Adrien Silva wasn't 14 seconds too late

Nick DeMarco and his team are well known in football for getting results and he's already made the EFL look fools for not knowing their own regulations.

That said this would be the greatest comeback since Pele, Michael Caine  and Stallone combined to beat the German army on a pitch worse than Seagrave.
