I've never understood why he gets so much hate, I just think he represents a disapointing period, but i think we should be trying him up front, said this months ago

He's good as a sub, in my opinion. Never been effective when he starts a full game

I like him. Whilst he wasn’t what we should have been going for in the prem, he seems to have a decent attitude and looks so much more fit this season. 
 

He’s always been a big moments player and he’s starting to show that here.

Yeah it’s unfortunate for some of theses guys because simply they were the wrong sort of profile from the start. That’s not their fault but as soon as they have bad games we all kinda think we’ll ffs they shouldn’t be here anyway. It’s hard to shake that as a fan and short of them having a very good run of performances they won’t get the grace of most players. 

 

He’s got us out of a pickle twice now and looked sharp as well. So if he continues he’ll be a handy player for us this year.

Not having a go but how many games has he started and of those has he been worse than anyone else? At least he seems to give a fek....opinion.

I don't think a lot of people know why they dislike him.

 

This forum is such a bandwagon at times and people just jump on what they feel are popular opinions.

Never understood the hate, assists and scores goals. Sometimes has a bad game but miles better than Ayew

We've rarely seen him in that no10 role, but today he looked great linking up play, as well as scoring. The issue is Marti, because he has this bizarre affinity for Ayew and Skipp.

Thought he wasn't fully fit for a while, but agree he should get far more opportunities instead of Ayew now

BDCR was not good enough for the Prem. 

 

But he's perfectly good enough to be a feature in the team in this league. He's better than Ayew and Soumaré, he's more confident than Mavididi. 

 

Without Ramsey I'd have him at 10 in our strongest lineup probably. 

 

JJ is fantastic but he needs to be one of the deeper midfielders with the freedom to go box to box. He isn't a 10.

He got flack last season because he wasn't good enough for the PL any more. And Cooper kept playing him on the wing.

 

After overcoming an injury, he looks much fitter this season, and is one I can genuinely see as being good enough at this level. Fingers crossed he can keep making the kind of impact he made today, and we'll start thinking of him a bit more fondly. He's not an Ayew (who is hard to like because he prevents us using an actual CF), and Skipp (who was never good enough for his price tag, and now it's a millstone considering he should be a squad player at best).

I'd have him in instead of Ayew because Ayew's falling over schtick just isn't the same at this level, referees don't automatically give a foul when someone goes to ground. That takes out a huge part of Ayew's game.

Yes I was shocked how good he was that night. I think he can do a job in this league but probably for only 60/70 minutes at the moment
