Draw tomorrow would keep Wolves down there and West Ham within reach tomorrow. If not that then I'd prefer to see West Ham win. Table looking ok now though, but the Wolves game is huge in a couple of weeks.

Wolves loss might mean they have a new manager bounce vs us though…

They could be desperate.

I honestly don't know who could be successful there.

I'd rather Chelsea win the league than Arsenal, Liverpool or Man City.

Strange but I thought Enzo would actually struggle there but hes done a fantastic  job and proving how good he is

I think what it proves is that you can have a very good premier league season just by beating the sides you should be beating. This was the last of the traditional "big 6" for Chelsea to play this season, and the first time they've won one of them, but they are way more consistent against the rest of the league than many other teams.

The thing with Enzo’s style of football is, if you can play it with consistent top class players it’s brilliant and really effective.

Where a lot go wrong is it’s awful if everyone isn’t great on the ball. In the Championship us, Southampton, Burnley etc. had the best players so we can play it, when you come up and you haven’t got the elite players at that level it’s asking for trouble.
Hence why Southampton, Burnley etc struggled with their unwillingness to change the situation.

Our Player of the Season last year doesn’t get near the Chelsea 11 or even bench most weeks - that’s the difference that allows Enzo to play and be really successful at the top end.

Agree with most of that. And that's exactly why I struggled with some on here (never mind our FB pages), who were saying that Enzo would be "sacked by Xmas". I simply couldn't fathom where they were coming from.

Even more bizarrely, they weren't being bitter because he left (which I could kind of understand). Rather, it was the same people who somehow saw Enzo's style as "boring".

The mind boggles how (and why) some people watch football.

For large periods it was incredibly boring though. Watching your defenders and midfielders pass it around your own half endlessly is not fun to watch whether you know it's to draw out the opposition or not. Football did not become the world's most popular sport because of its similarity to chess.

I think Kasper Hjulmand or Kjetil Knutsen would take that job.

Sergio Conceicao likely waiting for a bigger PL job or perhaps AC Milan who are struggling under Fonseca.

So some say that Ruuds relationship with ashworth was great…. Bring him in to replace the devil ruud and we will get the statue made

Ashworth could actually work alongside Rudders. We have no sporting/technical director.

If there’s space and I think there was a quote for RVN basically saying he liked to work with one (I believe there were some loose links to fletcher)… then it’s at least worth a call isn’t it?

Seems like a genuinely excellent manager! Making sure to acknowledge all the small things goes a long way.

He should have landed a top job years ago!

Their away form is very damning though and such a contrast.

Does he? Maybe I’ve worked with top leaders but this seems pretty run of the mill to me.

I would say they have had a very tough run of games but then Spurs and Man U are very beatable this season.

According to Jim white, Antonio won’t be able to train for at least a year.  He has a long way back and not clear that he will ever be able to.  At his age you’d expect West Ham to try and claim on their insurance and to effectively pay him off and terminate his contract.

very sad for a solid player and someone who seems like a very likeable character.

Any idea what the two 7pm Sunday kick offs are about this weekend?

Assume it'll be some sort of Premier League USA initiative... not sure I remember it last season?

No 12.30pm on a Saturday due to European games and one of them is a TNT game which would have been played in that slot.

No idea why there's two. Don't get why Chelsea vs Brentford can't be played at 2pm like other Sundays. Presumably other events in West London that impact police? Chelsea's own site says it's just due to European commitments.
