ian__marshall Posted 31 July 2025 Posted 31 July 2025 Let's all forget about that release clause. There's a cat in hell's chance that a) the fax machine boots up in time, or b) JR completes the paperwork. 15 day's!!! More chance of spotting Elvis Presley hosting a sell out concert to a bunch of aliens on Mars.

Sly Posted 31 July 2025 Posted 31 July 2025 Surely I’m not the only that thinks he’s okay, however he wasn’t consistent enough and didn’t exactly pull up trees? Albeit in his defence, we were a little bit doggo 3
foxfanazer Posted 31 July 2025 Posted 31 July 2025 Well if he really wants back to back relegations on his CV 1
Popular Post Scoop Dog Posted 31 July 2025 Popular Post Posted 31 July 2025 BEK offers so much more than just assists and goals. This guy has so much potential. Has an engine, isn't scared to tackle, creative. Give us at least 1 more year and if we don't make it back I'll understand 🙏 6
fox_favourite Posted 31 July 2025 Posted 31 July 2025 He'll be better staying with us. His stock will fly when he batters the championship. Leeds where they will struggle, won't be great. Someone like Fulham, Bournemouth I could understand. Leeds. Yuk! 2
em9999 Posted 31 July 2025 Posted 31 July 2025 (edited) If he wants to get relegated twice in a row .. Good luck to him we can just buy him back when we go up and Leeds go back down Edited 31 July 2025 by em9999

Whack on a tidy loan fee of a few million and they pay his wages. Given that we'll probably only make a couple of million profit on him, it'd probably be the best option. Depends if Tav is right about him having this release clause though I guess, which he probably is. 3

Depends if Tav is right about him having this release clause though I guess, which he probably is. I was thinking about this. We paid £20m for him amortised over 4 years. So there's £15m left on his book value. If we sold him for £25m we'd book £10m profit. If we loaned him out we'd need at least £5m to cover his years book value and I doubt any club pays that in a loan fee. 2
-sodapop Posted 31 July 2025 Posted 31 July 2025 Really wish he'd commit to one year with us but I suspect he's got an agent in his ear looking for a tasty transfer bonus. Would understand if he was going somewhere where he'll be a prem regular but Leeds is just delaying playing in the championship by a year 1
Bablemikey Posted 31 July 2025 Posted 31 July 2025 I suspect he’ll be waiting to see what other offers he gets while keeping Leeds interested. Few weeks to go yet, no need for him to make a decision just now.

adejo92 Posted 31 July 2025 Posted 31 July 2025 (edited) Don't know why, but just strikes me as a player that will end up having more clubs than hot dinners. Probably end up switching between newly promoted teams for the next few years. He'll be on the lookout for another rushed move this time next year when he's relegated again with Sunderland / Leeds. Tuna Posted 31 July 2025 Posted 31 July 2025 Ugh really hope if he moves it is abroad, the humiliation of him being poached by Sunderland or Leeds would be nauseous 3

If he makes one of those moves then totally. I’d prefer he makes a straight loan with option/obligation dependance on ours and the team who moves to’s performance. He should be playing top level football but feels a bit silly him going to a side that may get relegated again permanently. Firstly, we could get more next summer if he performs again, and secondly not good for his career not settling somewhere he can be successful both personally and with a team that’s his.
HitchinFox Posted 31 July 2025 Posted 31 July 2025 Leeds won't get anywhere near our points total from last season if Farke stays in charge. And that's saying something. So Bilal going there would make zero sense for him - from a career point of view. 1

We got 25 points. I expect Leeds to get more than that. The bottom three got 59 points, which is horrendous. I 1

Losing Frank, Mbeumo, Norgaard and potentially Wissa in one window, and appointing a rookie manager might mean they get dragged in to a relegation battle. But I fully expect the 3 promoted teams to come straight back down Seems like the only way to stay up is to catch an established team imploding and them also not acting quick enough to rectify it. A-la us under Rodgers. 1

Points totals will be very similar. Leeds and their fan base believe they will stay up. However, even with their seven signings they will come crashing down to earth.
Jon the Hat Posted 1 August 2025 Posted 1 August 2025 I couldn't care less about Leeds, take their money. Not a competitor for at least 12 months, possibly longer.
