Don't see me crying about it like the rest of you. He's hardly pulled up any trees since he's been here has he and with the lack of incomings we're unlikely to go up so don't see the problem in him wanting to leave. And we'd somehow be making profit People comparing it to the Mahrez saga Edited 27 August 2025 by foxfanazer
splinterdream Posted 27 August 2025 Posted 27 August 2025 Was it Erikson that sat out half a season when he didn't get a move?

Not entirely accurate tbf. FB's defensive stats were a real standout ahead of BEK but with the ball neither were brilliant with FB having better dribbling and scoring stats and BEK better passing ones, which is what you'd expect for the players they are. Happy and motivated they'd both be excellent in the Championship. I thought, on the whole, BEK was more use to us last season, he just had absolute garbage playing around him in a terrible system. Pretending BEK is now rubbish just because his agent is being a dick and he's trying to leave is silly. 3
honeybradger Posted 27 August 2025 Posted 27 August 2025 If this is true then probably accept whatever is offered honestly and go for another attacking midfielder. We need to stop the rot at the club before it gets any worse. Not going to fully take this source at face value though as it seems unreliable.

He wants a move to Palace but the club is in a position to set the asking price higher than Palace are willing to pay, limiting his options.

If he really does have the hump and wants out then booting balls at training and with a bit of kick off will get him gone no matter our price I feel. Time will tell. Time will tell. It's certainly a case of who blinks first, but I'm glad we aren't instantly folding. If we demand £40m and he kicks off, we can 'grudgingly accept' £35m and therefore get £5m more than we'd initially asked for. If that is going to happen, it needs to happen by Friday though. It'd give some war chest over the weekend if we are looking for signings as per the slight increase in links in recent days.

My post stemmed from seven goal involvements over 1514 minutes is being better than BEK's 5 over c2200 minutes. Was to indicate Buonanotte being better rather the view than BEK being rubbish. Nothing more.

whoareyaaa Posted 27 August 2025 Posted 27 August 2025 Should have signed a one year contract or none at all, probably his agent doing it though. What happened to the bloke that said back in Morocco they said he owes us another season. 1
Dahnsouff Posted 27 August 2025 Posted 27 August 2025 Must be some nursery teachers on here? They seem best positioned to deal with this type tantrum.
Lambert09 Posted 27 August 2025 Posted 27 August 2025 (edited) The audacity! Lad gets relegated and has horrific numbers and thinks he has the aura to pull this off?! I’m embarrassed for him … all for a move to crystal palace as well Edited 27 August 2025 by Lambert09 1
Popular Post moore_94 Posted 27 August 2025 Popular Post Posted 27 August 2025 I know technically he hasn’t handed in a transfer request yet (as far as we know) but this kind of stuff and like what Isak is doing at Newcastle should automatically mean you will not be getting your loyalty bonus 12

Perhaps we should wait until there's a bit more confirmation of his threats/actions and then you can all have an hysterical breakdown. It's no wonder so many of the players want out when we have 'fans' who abuse them based on something Sky/TalkShite have reported. Given he's done it at his previous club to force a move to us, the fact he was absent for the Charlton match and the now reported changing of a picture to symbolise displeasure at the club......Call me naive but yes, i totally believe the reports. You need to stop being so Naive, and he needs to fvck off. Ta'ra. Edited 27 August 2025 by adejo92

If he's still here when the window closes, he'll be fully committed to having a good season. Doesn't really make sense for him to down tools at that point as he's playing for both his national team place and his next move in Jan/Next Summer. Yea agreed. I mean he may not be as keen to put in the marauding runs for some of his closing down challenges, I think that's more to grab the attention of a suitor, but he'd do enough to help us out. If he dont want to be here though, I would rather he be gone as we wont need the negativity around the club from someone feeling a little solemn about things, but I dont see him as a trouble maker.
supernuk Posted 27 August 2025 Posted 27 August 2025 Hopefully we can get a decent fee and bag him off. I really think the young lad from Benfica can do a similar job and be less money.
