The Stuttgart link is here, loan with obligation doesn't really help us much with immediate money I would have thought? I'll let those with more knowledge explain how that works but I don't think that is much good to us.

My thoughts are just sell him, he's good, talented, but not indispensable and we can and should reinvest the money in 3 or 4 players who will help us move forwards.

Depends, if we are happy we can comply with PSR for the year then we could agree to a loan with obligation. We then bank the profit next year but we'd be paying his £5m book value this year, offset by saving on his wages but being a player down. The loan fee might cover that too.

We need incomings though and it seems we've only just got ourselves in a position we aren't in serious financial bother, so a permanent deal this window must be preferable.

Absolutely no way he's willing to sit in the stands for an entire season lol Morocco are good enough to not select him for AFCON and the World Cup if he isn't playing

Problem is there are only 4 days left, I'd try and keep him.. once the window shuts not a lot he can do but buckle down and he does make a big difference to the team this season if he stays.

Love it when players go down this route. Should be livid, but I always find it both hilarious and ironic that they blame the club.

Surely the blame lies squarely with the agent, and the player. If his agent hasn't done enough to sell his services and convince a potential buyer he's worth a certain amount then that isn't the clubs fault. He simply needs a better agent, or to put up better numbers. He really can't be complaining that the club has blocked his move when less than 2 weeks ago he could have moved for less, only to see no one make an offer at that lower price.

I've been very critical of the club for their conduct over recent years, but I fully support their stance on this one, even if it leads to him going on strike. His agent has had the best part of 2 months to broker a deal at a value the club could have done nothing about. If he wants to throw his toys out of the pram, I suggest he looks closer to home before kicking up a fuss with his employer.

Agreed on all of the above.

He is our biggest sellable asset after Fatawu, but dont get bullied for a price. Think the club want 35M, which i believe is 14M profit, get him gone

Good player though

This has to be crock, surely?

If he's willing to sit in the stands all season (which I very much doubt) then don't pay him. He's not doing his jobs nd is breach of contract.

Like I say, I don't believe this much at all.

My post stemmed from seven goal involvements over 1514 minutes is being better than BEK's 5 over c2200 minutes. Was to indicate Buonanotte being better rather the view than BEK being rubbish. Nothing more.

So now we're at "Ayew was better"

Haha, love how triggered people are by this. Maybe it's true that he'll have a little sulk but he'll get over it pretty quickly and be back in the team, putting lots of effort in because that's the only way he plays (and further increases his chances of a move).

Pretty sure if he refused to play for the whole season or there was evidence of him really not trying, the club could probably sue him

If we have a replacement lined up then we do the same loan with obligation deal on that too.

then it’s all becomes neutral for this season.
assuming we are psr clean for this season (which I don’t believe)

How? The debate was Buonanotte v BEK.

Ayew only got 4 goal involvements excluding penalties.

All gone a bit Wesley Fofana hasn't it?

Fofana, Mahrez, Drinkwater......it's the agents and these stupid kids give them a 20% cut for the advice.

I am absolutely inspired to email my boss telling her I wont do my job and will just sit in front of the screen  doing nothing until they give me a 10k increase.

I believe I can fly.

Sick of these players crying that clubs are pricing them out of moves. They, or at least their agents, hold out for the highest price when they sign to get their extra signing on fees and commissions, then expect clubs to roll over and make a loss when they don't like where they are.

It's not just the actual fee paid either, clubs are expected to find them houses, get them deals on new cars and even send someone round to their gaff when they have a leaking tap etc. They are spoilt brats and this type of behaviour, if true, is only going to put buying clubs off. I could understand it if there was a reasonable concrete offer on the table for the lad, but from what I have seen that isn't the case. Beginning to think palace pulled out because the deal  was "becoming too difficult" not on our part but his, and his agents, attitudes.
