Ian Nacho Posted 5 January Posted 5 January (edited) Begovic Ricardo Vestegaard Nelson Aluko Skipp Choudhury Marcal Page Monga Evans Probably will be the usual suspects instead. Edited 5 January by Ian Nacho

LeePhilpottsBaldSpot Posted 6 January Posted 6 January (edited) I know it won't happen, but it would be nice to see a different set-up to 4-2-3-1. A good chance to see some younger / fringe players, but I'd keep a few experienced heads to help them along. eg . Spanish guy . Nelson Veste Okoli Aluko Coulibaly(/Thomas) . Golding Choudhury Page . Evans Daka Edited 6 January by LeePhilpottsBaldSpot
Aus Fox Posted 6 January Posted 6 January Stolarczyk Choudhury Nelson Aluko Thomas Page Golding Thomas Marcal Evans Monga Some square pegs, but an 11 of players who have played for us from youth level would be impressive and give us some light in this season.
LCFCCKEANO Posted 6 January Posted 6 January (edited) Vieites Hamza Vestegaard Okoli(Kevon Gray ideally but won’t happen) Thomas Skipp Page Reid Wanya Silko Evans Just use it to see what we have depth wise and maybe to play a couple of youngsters into loans, Briggs on the bench Edited 6 January by LCFCCKEANO 1
Leicesterpool Posted 6 January Posted 6 January For me, the more experience maybe required for this on a very difficult pitch. Stolarczyk Ricardo Veestergard Nelson Thomas (no other option sadly) Skipp James Page Monga Ayew Fatawu
accessory Posted 6 January Posted 6 January Whatever side Cifuentes picks, let's hope he treats the Cup far more seriously than he did last season. Neither he nor (far more importantly) the club can afford defeat in this game. 1
Katy Posted 6 January Posted 6 January God, it’s relentless. I can see another Newport County happening here 😭 1
Bert Posted 6 January Posted 6 January I mean I’m all for seeing the academy lads but we need some sort of experience in there. Let’s not make a dismal season worse by crashing out to one of the worst sides in the 92. 2
Claudio Fannieri Posted 6 January Posted 6 January Begovic Aluko Okoli Vestergaard Thomas Skipp Choudhury S Thomas Page Monga Daka subs Vietas Riccy Gray Ali JJ Briggs Marcal Evans Ayew 2
Popular Post StanSP Posted 6 January Popular Post Posted 6 January Nelson, James, Fatawu can be rested for this. At the most a small cameo from the bench. Too good to risk getting injured. 6
funkyrobot Posted 6 January Posted 6 January Undertaking my own boycott by going to Halifax to watch Anstey Nomads in the FA Vase. But anyway this is the team I’d field. Vietes Cover Faes Vestergaard Aluko Hamza (C) Page Marcal Silko Monga Daka 1
Jazzy_Jeff Posted 6 January Posted 6 January Vietes Aluko Okoli Gray Thomas Choudhury Page Evans Bobby Monga Ayew Academy lads on the bench. Don’t risk any first teamers who we can’t afford to lose or anyone we’re trying to flog.
TrentFox Posted 6 January Posted 6 January Unpopular, (and unlikely), thought but depending on what levels of interest clubs are showing in our naughty step players, it might make sense to get minutes into Faes, Winks and Soumare, (is he still injured)? It gives wanted players a rest; showcases available players and - if worst comes to worst - gets them fitter should we end up having to play them. 🥴 2
AjcW Posted 6 January Posted 6 January The U21 league starts up again on Friday, so will get a decent idea of any players getting into Saturday's squad. 1
Fox92 Posted 6 January Posted 6 January Can't afford to put a second team out. 7 day break until Cov the following Saturday so not worth risking a potential upset. 2
Ric Flair Posted 6 January Posted 6 January Vietes Aluko Souttar Nelson Daniels Skipp Page Fatawu Briggs Monga Evans 3

Especially not when his job is as insecure as this. Not a chance he's going to field some of these suggestions. 1
Foxes96 Posted 6 January Posted 6 January Doubt there will be as many changes as we as fans would like. Especially with a week between this and the Cov game. Although would wrap Stolarczyk, Ricardo, Nelson, Fatawu and James up at home. Vieites Aluko - Okoli - Vestergaard - Thomas Hamza - Page S Thomas - Briggs - Monga Evans Begovic / Cover / Souttar / Skipp / Golding / Marcal / Mavididi / Daka / Ayew 1
Bert Posted 6 January Posted 6 January Keeper Choudhury Vestergaard Nelson Aluko Skipp James Monga Page Mavididi Daka We are so light in central midfield I think we have to go with them 2. Would be absolute insanity to throw someone in there that’s not even been in a matchday squad imo. Could maybe start Silko instead of Mavididi but I think that would just be way too inexperienced of a 3 to play together. Either way, let’s get some of the younger lads involved from the off but not at the expense of being bombed out of the cup.
Devonfox1884 Posted 6 January Posted 6 January They’ve lost their wingers (Hutchinson and Archer) and their striker (Adelakun) in the last week, who have been responsible for 10/25 of their goals this season. Their fans are gutted to see Hutchinson in particular go back to Bristol Rovers. This should be straightforward, but it won’t be. 1-0 Cheltenham.
lgfualol Posted 6 January Posted 6 January He’ll field the same team “to build momentum” because he’s too scared to do anything else. I’d like to see Evans, Aluko and Page start at the very least.
