A side effect of this is that it has caused a massive inflation of transfer, wages and general costs by clubs trying to compete with them and that has cascaded down the leagues.

 

We broke the rules trying to compete and keep up with them.

Reading the latest statements from Man City PLC, they sound like nothing more than threats.

The brazen talk of having been fully cooperative is a joke with the amount of time it’s take to get here and the talk of appeals. 
 

Wikipedia is obviously listing them with only 2 top tier titles, so we only need a couple more to leap frog them and beat them in the amount of both top tier and second tier titles COYB

You would think they would have to had presented all their evidence at the first hearing. 

 

According to Sky they can only appealed on grounds such as fraud, misconduct, or gross unfairness by the arbitrator to a new commission. 

 

Sky was also suggesting they could appeal to the High Courts after this using the leaked verdict as grounds for an appeal citing that the whole process has been biased and not impartial.

It would be interesting if they allowed the 19 premier clubs vote on the fate of Man City. Vote on if the deserve to be removed from the premier league or lengthy transfer ban.

Transfer ban is not punishment enough. If not relegated should be a high number of points for at least 5 seasons

1 - No they wont. Most people care about their clubs. I have very little desire to watch them play anymore than i have a desire to watch Lance Armstrong ride a bike.

2 - No it wont. People like exciting football. It will kick the creator of english possession football out of the league

3 - Must have been hard to write these when your head if so up your arse. Even with all the cheating, they were only able to win 1 CL

4 - Depends what you consider a football fan i suppose. Most of them that graduated to Man City will just switch their allegiance to the next best cliub

I agree if you give Man City a five year transfer ban. The club will still be able to compete, as they have players on long contracts anyway, plus a few good youth recruits who would see them through the next few seasons. A lot of man city fans would probably take that.

And that's before you get to the payouts to clubs like ours. 

If they don’t strip them of the titles in the period and hit them with a points deduction relevant for each offense, multiplied over successive seasons for their delaying tactics and any obstructions, then they will have gotten away with it. If they are inconvenienced for one season but still have multiple premier league title in their trophy cabinet, then that is not a deterrent for any other club to pull these shenanigans.
