-180 points spread over 3 seasons would be good :fc:

The problem is how this could be handed down, the period these charges relate to prevent that from my understanding.

Not impossible to have both Man City and Tottenham both relegated in the same season, huge premier league shake up with two massive stadiums in the championship.

And there’s you’re super league started right there.

There are still large swathes of Manchester that are undeveloped wastelands and former industrial sites.

The nice bits are really nice, the bad bits are still awful and there are plenty of them.

Tbh there are still plenty of shitholes in London too

Relegate them now to League 2 West Ham would move into the Prem, and we would get back in the Championship

Surely would just add an extra automatic promotion place for each league this season

Andy Burnham has unnecessarily involved himself in this mire.

All politicians are great at commenting when they shouldn't and shutting up when we need to know more :P

One relegation would be nowhere near enough of a punishment.

They would still be able to compete and win the domestic cups and they'd prevent a Championship club who are trying to do things the right way, from making millions by bouncing straight back up in their place.

Their players would still be chosen for international football, so competing at a higher level and in a strange way it would actually be better for them in terms of wear and tear. They'd be able to rotate easily and cruise the league.

It would basically be like saying they can't win the PL for just one season, which is a pretty good price to pay for cheating to end up with nine.

So… it would be like if they were in the Bundesliga or Scottish Premier League?

Typical British negativity, highlighting the 114 guilty charges instead of the 1 they were exhorted for!

Just wait until they produce their irrefutable evidence that they didn't present in the first place!

I just don’t think any massive points deduction or exclusion will happen this season but then would get very embarrassing if it looks like Man C are going to win the league .

Can see them getting a small one with a fine and transfer ban thrown in .

The question has to be asked why are they so slow here, they have had all the time in the world, got the decision, yet no punishment.

It fuels the one rule for the big 6 and the other for the rest.

Well yeah but what I mean is the people wanting to see them suffer are actually being a bit short sighted with just wanting them relegated. The long term effect of them being moulded back into a mid table team would be far more damaging as they lose their appeal to potential signings

And with the offences being committed over a number of years I think I staggered punishment is more fitting

Indeed, a relegation just means one season of misery, that wouldnt even be enough to impact signings in my opinion, so they would be promoted, and next season title contenders again.  A proper punishment as you said needs to prolonged over multiple seasons.   I dont think they will even get 35 points for one season , never mind 9.

Cant they be banned from taking part in the EPL for a decade, similar to how at one point english clubs were banned from UEFA competition.

Some of the squad will hang around if they only get relegated for a season or so and the rest will be loaned out like Saracens did in rugby when they got demoted one league.

Like you say to have any long term impact needs to be a Rangers type expulsion although I guess in that case they actually went bust and a new club started out in the Scottish 3rd tier.

I really hope Man City win the PL this season. The media have had their pile on for two weeks, we have every red cartel supporter and ex players all given their opinions.

We have also had Ian Holloway spouting his nonsense.

I am not convinced the panel have reached an unbiased conclusion. The PL don’t even know their rules, but they’ve got hatred for City out there.

I do, but just because I hate Arsenal. And couldn’t abide the trophy going south again, can’t think anyone else is challenging.

That’s exactly how I feel. All the gooners I know are insufferable now let alone 3 or 4 seasons.

Why would you want them to win anything. Ever. I just don't get it. They are cheats and their "success" is built on money. Backed by a state and made a mockery of the sport. Holloway was right, it's too late as it's obvious they were cheating but they should be thrown out.

I can't stand them (have you guessed) and never have since they got all this money. It's bad enough going to their place and having to suffer next to their home fans, they're something else. And really deluded; they've always thought everyone is out to get them but in reality nobody cares about them because they're just fake.
