I deleted my Facebook account a year or so ago, one of the best things I ever did. Hours of my life now not wasted looking at other people's inane drivel. Now I just waste said hours here looking at much the same ?

I got rid of Facebook years ago, only social media I have is Twitter. 

 

I find social media in particular Instagram makes people think other peoples lives are perfect. My sister & her boyfriend for example you look at their Instagram and you would think they are really well off. The cars, the nice house, the holiday pictures, their weekends away they go on every few months to Dubai. 

 

But I know it’s all for show, the cars on lease, the holidays always on credit cards which takes them a year to pay off then when they do book another one.

the folk who has flashy looking instagrams aren’t the problem, it’s the folk who either think that that is real life and get jealous/obsessed or the folk who try and outdo each other and end up looking like dicks. 

 

instagram is the showing off social media, not sure many people would follow or be bothered about someone posting pictures of their actual every day life. he’s a picture of me coco pops that i’m eating in work and it’s a bit grey outside. or here’s a picture of me and me best mates hanging off the side of machu picchu. not hard to work out what’s the better content imo.

And I bet they’re miserable eh?! Instapricks I call them (not your sister in particular) those that show off when they’re wearing a posh frock at a wedding or pictures of cocktails at mid day Friday. I still have a Facebook account, it's the most convenient way to keep in touch with my friends in Japan but I log on and look at it once every few months. 

 

My only other social media are this and reddit if they count and I only lurk on the latter.

Hospital stuff.  There are several remote controlled TVs on the ward ...   but you can’t use them cus all the remote controls have been nicked.   When they come round with the tea trolley they have to keep an eye on the trolley all the time otherwise it gets skinned ...   one nurse caught a bloke filling his pockets with surgical masks ..   she asked him what he was doing and he said he was doing some painting at home and they would be very useful ...  

 

They offer a very extensive menu which is brilliant ...   but they now also offer 3 complimentary snacks a day ! ...   only 3 mind cus some of the fat fookers would like more.

 

Doctors and nurses are brilliant and work very hard.
