The Terror on iPlayer is really good. I've always been fascinated by the Franklin expedition, and this blends fact and fiction really well. Not even halfway yet and the levels of dread and gruesomeness are already pretty high given what we know (or think we know) is in store.

 

My missus has been watching The Great on All 4, and I'm going to watch that all the way through as the bits I've seen of it have been fab. Nicholas Hoult and Elle Fanning are fantastic in it

I watched last Saturdays and it was a married couple. When they were answering the questions at the start the wife answered a ridiculously easy question wrong, something like what direction do we give way to on a roundabout in the UK. The husband seemed much calmer. They sent her up to answer the questions She wasn't great, they were lucky to leave with £10k. One question was which of these singers actually goes by their middle name. One option was Rihanna. She actually said she knew Rihanna wasn't her real name and it was Robyn, then discounted her and for no reason and picked Adele. How do these people get on these shows?

It just wasn’t believable was it, too many coincidences and links back.

Decent cast and acting too, so a bit of a shame the plot didn’t live up.

I like the premise of it, but at the moment I just want them to find out and kill the son because I hate him. I don’t know if that’s what they were going for

Finished S4 of the Wire

 

Enjoyed it but it felt a bit too catastrophic at times and the pacing was off, Bubbles' sub plot, Randy's foster mum's home being firebombed and Dukie ending up on the corner felt a bit contrived given the pacing of the rest of the season. The character development was excellent but I enjoyed the preceding seasons more.

Watched the first 2 episodes of the flight attendant last night, enjoying it so far. Quite like the styling if the spilt screens bits etc. Anyone else had a look at it?

LoD off to a decent start.  Shame some people are never satisfied though, plenty of negatives floating around on the FB pages.

Davidson is Tommy Hunter's daughter.

 -My only evidence is that they're both Scottish. That and the amount of security on her door. Either she's UC from Hunter's original OCG or she's legit trying to live a good life.

 - Or I'm wrong, which is impossible.

Kate is a UCO

 - She and Hastings have faked a falling out in order to make it appear she's left AC-12 as a career change.

 - She's a UCO in the MIT team because she's investigating someone who knows of her past in AC-12 and is regularly found out as being undercover.

 - He's popped up in 3 series now.

 - He's known as being incompetent, which is a great cover.

 - There's ****ing golf clubs in his office (THE CADDY)!

I thought it was really boring, but I'm not sure if that's because I binge watched the others.

I've never watched LoD so thought I'd better get with the programme in advance of the new series.

 

Binged S1 and most of S2 the last few days and can't really see what all the fuss is about. I mean it's O.K. but it's no Juliet Bravo!

 

Not a big fan of Arnott & Fleming really and don't think Arnott has much screen presence at all. Hastings is good and I thought Lennie James was excellent in S1 (but he's brilliant in everything)

 

Maybe I'll be converted after S3, 4 & 5, but so far it's not quite living up to all the hype for me...

Yeah decent enough start for Line Of Duty, felt it was missing it's big moment though, Kelly MacDonald is very good however.

Is it more of the same or the total opposite? Glad McNulty will be more involved given as he’s not a c unt at this stage (although that could change).
