kingfox Posted 26 August 2012 Posted 26 August 2012 Cov Scum have sacked Andy Thorn today after 3 draws in a row. So that is the first football league sacking this season. Nice one Cov.
Leicester_Loyal Posted 26 August 2012 Posted 26 August 2012 He was a terrible manager, they would have only gone further downhill with him in charge.
Happy Fox Posted 26 August 2012 Posted 26 August 2012 I wonder when Sven will be touting himself for the job maybe Redknapp's next destination
LcFc_Smiv Posted 26 August 2012 Posted 26 August 2012 He was a terrible manager, they would have only gone further downhill with him in charge. To be fair I actually felt for the guy, when he took over they were hopeless, he never received any financial backing, or any real backing from the board. don't now who'd want the position, I'd keep away from scum of the midlands.
Fox92 Posted 26 August 2012 Posted 26 August 2012 A point against Sheffield United wasn't bad, but I would have thought a club like Coventry should be targeting wins against teams like Yeovil and Bury. Didn't help that they were 2-0 up yesterday and ended up drawing. Who they going to appoint now though?
Matt Posted 26 August 2012 Posted 26 August 2012 Can they afford to sack him? They can't pay rent on the stadium but can afford to sack the manager/employ a new manager? No hopers.
Mark_w Posted 26 August 2012 Posted 26 August 2012 http://www.skybluestalk.co.uk/threads/19727-Dennis-Wise-alternative-choice-as-manager
davieG Posted 26 August 2012 Posted 26 August 2012 Player manager, promote someone from within, if they have someone.
Tielemans63 Posted 26 August 2012 Posted 26 August 2012 Sean Dyche would be a decent appointment for Cov, did a solid job at Watford.
Out Foxed Posted 26 August 2012 Posted 26 August 2012 Sean Dyche would be a decent appointment for Cov, did a solid job at Watford. good shout
Corky Posted 26 August 2012 Posted 26 August 2012 Seriously, what is the point? Why give him the summer and then sack him a week into the new season? They are in an okay position, with serious constraints. It's not an appealing job for any aspiring manager.
J.Lisemore Posted 26 August 2012 Posted 26 August 2012 So they give him the whole summer to sign players he wants, and sack him after 3 games.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 26 August 2012 Posted 26 August 2012 Quick, somebody start a poll before Leicesterpool. Too late. http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/topic/83331-next-for-cov/
Leicesterpool Posted 26 August 2012 Posted 26 August 2012 Too late. http://www.foxestalk...1-next-for-cov/
21st Century Fox Posted 26 August 2012 Posted 26 August 2012 I see they've placed an advert in the Coventry Telegraph.... Manager Wanted. Must have own stadium.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 26 August 2012 Posted 26 August 2012 Don't understand the logic to this at all. Not the greatest manager but why not get rid at the end of last season, bring another man in and give him time to settle? Bizarre timing. You can bet your house that if Wise goes there they'll come up.
kingfox Posted 27 August 2012 Author Posted 27 August 2012 Churchill the dog probably could do a better job
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 27 August 2012 Posted 27 August 2012 Bizarre sacking at this stage, must have someone lined up.
