Voll Blau Posted 5 January 2014 Share Posted 5 January 2014 I don't usually agree with Big Sam, but he's right when he says he can't win. If he doesn't play the kids he'll get it in the neck for not blooding youngsters, if he does he gets it in the neck for not respecting the cup. If he thinks he can't win it, more fool him. All he needs to do is look at list of finalists in both cup competitions from the past few years to realise that's not the case. All you have to do is win six games. I didn't mean can't win the cup, I mean he thinks he can't win in the eyes of the media and fans. Thought that was pretty obvious from the rest of the post to be fair. Benji Posted 5 January 2014 Share Posted 5 January 2014 This first half has been like watching a top 6 championship side against a bottom 6 championship team. West Ham are hardly touching the ball.

Thought that was pretty obvious from the rest of the post to be fair. Fair play. Still think my point stand though. His attitude really is perplexing. Regardless of who's on the pitch, going out with such a whimper (as they seem hell bent on doing in this game) is hardly likely to help club morale. EastNeukFox Posted 5 January 2014 Share Posted 5 January 2014 This West Ham side are absolutely woeful. Be amazed if the trees don't win this one by a country mile!
Leicesterpool Posted 5 January 2014 Share Posted 5 January 2014 I'm actually glad Forest are winning don't like West Ham, plus a little cup run for Derby and Forest will take there mind of the league. West Ham playing typical Allardyce football, defensive boring football. Also Forest 1-0 up and they still don't sing!
Matt Posted 5 January 2014 Share Posted 5 January 2014 Have ITV got rid of their awful commentary team? Sam Matterface and Clarke Carlisle commentating on this game, that's not the 'normal' ITV commentators is it?

Trav Le Bleu Posted 5 January 2014 Share Posted 5 January 2014 Ball for the FA Cup it seems to allow "to enhance visibility and maximise in-flight visual contrast." Or some guff like that to get people buying it at least. As our resident Brighton correspondent, I wonder if you can comment on whether it has encouraged more gay men to watch? dobbylcfc Posted 5 January 2014 Share Posted 5 January 2014 Totaly agree with leicesterpool could do with forest and derby to win so they can have little run in the cup will add games to there season when we can just concentrate on getting out of the league
Manwell Pablo Posted 5 January 2014 Share Posted 5 January 2014 Think it's fair to say this brilliant West Ham youth team isn't that brilliant, all looked crap bar Callum Driver who has done alright.

Manwell Pablo Posted 5 January 2014 Share Posted 5 January 2014 If Forest get a decent striker in the window they will be hugely dangerous. Their being made to look a lot better than they are, I think Big Sam is actually trying to get knocked out.
martyn Posted 5 January 2014 Share Posted 5 January 2014 True, west ham are awful,, but Forest have a lot of decent (and varied) attacking threat from that midfield.
Swarles Barkley Posted 5 January 2014 Share Posted 5 January 2014 That awkward moment when forest fans on twitter think they are good enough for the prem because they beat west ham U21
Manwell Pablo Posted 5 January 2014 Share Posted 5 January 2014 True, west ham are awful,, but Forest have a lot of decent (and varied) attacking threat from that midfield. Only because they've been allowed to. They're professional footballers playing against kids who clearly aren't ready. Since Downing and Diarra have gone off they've completely fallen to bits. Reece Burke has been embarrassing. Jamie Pattersons scored a ****ing hat trick ffs
Unabomber Posted 5 January 2014 Share Posted 5 January 2014 This is pathetic from big Sam and West Ham.

Jamie Pattersons scored a ****ing hat trick ffs Patterson's third was absurd; how he was able to dribble around every defender, I'll never know. Kitchandro Posted 5 January 2014 Share Posted 5 January 2014 I'd love it if Allardyce got sacked tomorrow. That'd teach em to take the cup seriously. Since when is getting embarrassed by a lower division side acceptable in any circumstances?
Ross-Kemp Posted 5 January 2014 Share Posted 5 January 2014 West Ham have been awful. This is literally boys v men, if this was a boxing match it would have been stopped a long time ago. Now Billy the poison dwarf will be lapping this up.
Poznan34 Posted 5 January 2014 Share Posted 5 January 2014 Feel for the West Ham fans, they've brought a load to see the academy side get dismantled.
martyn Posted 5 January 2014 Share Posted 5 January 2014 I am aware that west ham are playing kids, that's not my point. Abdoun, Reid, Lansbury, paterson (and not just a knee jerk reaction to a hat trick) are all very decent attack minded midfielders and all offer a different type of threat. If they can get Shane Long as was rumoured they will be a danger imo.
