Ricey Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 I'd take him. He's a good finisher and that is what we are lacking.
Manwell Pablo Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 twitter/facebook and foxestalk can be very synical about information posted as so much is untrue. If i am right he knows you know,if I am wrong I am another spammer,so until i get confirmation of an agreement i will not post on this subject.I am not the director of football for either club nor am I an agent. As backed up by your inability to spell cynical.

Corky Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 2 players, 1 chant. Exploding heads everywhere in L1. That's never affected our fans before.

The Horse's Mouth Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 I've always been a fan, never really understood the stick that some people give him.
Babylon Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 He's got two more (not counting cup goals) and I'm not arguing comparing the two just merely pointing Beckford isn't having the worst season ever, better than everyone we've got bar Nugent for instance. What site are you using for stats, because soccerbase has Fryatt down as 4 league goals and Beckford 5 (6 if you include capital one cup). Vardy has got 6 in the league in about the same number of games.
pazzerfox Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 can you tell me my agenda for posting something that is not true.as always wages come into this.!! Where are you getting your info from?

Manwell Pablo Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 Teamtalk's got Beckford on 7 in total Mind you it has Fryatt on 8 so maybe it's wrong. Nah, beckfords definitely got 7 in total
Craig Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 It'd be interesting to see how Fryatt would get on with us playing good football and creating so many chances. Personally reckon that he'd thrive on it. If there's one thing that Fryatt is it's a finisher.
Babylon Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 Nah, beckfords definitely got 7 in total Dunno then as Soccerbase, Espn, whoscored.com all have him as 5 league goals, bbc champ top scorer list he doesn't feature under those with 6 either.
Stadt Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 I'd take him over Nugent right now, he's a more consistent goal scorer.

bovril Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 Beckford has a better goals to game ratio than Fryatt. I'd take him over Nugent right now, he's a more consistent goal scorer. He's really not though, is he.
Simonb Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 id take him if true.... direct, quick, likes the ball on the floor... would suit us.... only downside, we have the same in nuge and vardy... so if fryatt does start with no form, we dont gain anything.... I think something around the Chris Wood mould may be more of a benefit to give us a different option.... or a proper goal hogger whose there for the rebounds, tap ins etc that our style of play seems to create (like a defoe, van nistlerooy - but aobviously a budget version).... the amount of times a ball has rebounded and been cleared by a defender because the front line havent reacted quick enough or anticipated it and been in the right place is unreal.... the only rebound reaction thats led to a goal for us this season that I can remember was Morgan V Fulham and he's a centre back.... I may be wrong in my opinion, but at the moment, this is a real frustration
broughtonblue Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 Woohoo my lad can get his 'fryatt' shirt out again
Manwell Pablo Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 Dunno then as Soccerbase, Espn, whoscored.com all have him as 5 league goals, bbc champ top scorer list he doesn't feature under those with 6 either. Can't see Sky being wrong http://www1.skysports.com/football/player/2523/jermaine-beckford
Babylon Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 Can't see Sky being wrong http://www1.skysports.com/football/player/2523/jermaine-beckford You'd also think his own club would know that then! http://www.bwfc.co.uk/team/player-profile/index.aspx?playerid=346734&tcmuri=926327 Beckford has a better goals to game ratio than Fryatt. IF you include all his goals below this level I'm sure he does... at this level, I doubt it.
MC Prussian Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 Let's get Steve Howard back as well, Pearson loves his free agents. Comparing a 37-year old free agent with a 27-year old Championship striker. kingfox logic strikes again.

bovril Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 IF you include all his goals below this level I'm sure he does... at this level, I doubt it. Maybe... but then half of Fryatt's goals for us came in the 3rd. He was alright at Hull for half a season but in total for us he only scored around 20 Championship goals in about 4 seasons.

Are you Matty Fryatt then?
jimmer Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 Fryatt is decent at this level. Cant see any harm in bringing him in for cover....rather Matty than Waggy.
