whoareyaaa Posted 5 January 2015 Posted 5 January 2015 Karamic seems like he is a short term fix - which Nigel has now accepted may be a good thing under present circumstances. Defoe, on the other hand, won't be allowed to leave Toronto unless he is sold. Wood will go on loan to get game time (likely). Leaving us with Vardy and Defoe as our quicker/crafty players, Ulloa and Karamic as our tall men & Nuge in the supporting role. I remember very vividly Nigel saying in the last transfer window; "You can never have enough strikers". 5 is a good number. I suppose you are right, it will however mean 5 players playing for 2 spots but I suppose that is good as well for competition and it will keep them all on there toes. That would be a solid strike force with those two additions.

Robin JD Popley Posted 5 January 2015 Posted 5 January 2015 Kramaric looks a bit on the small side for a tall target man, 5'11 My bad, just looked tall from some of the pictures. The point still stands though about variety being needed. Leo has scored 7 goals. The next best strike rate for one of our strikers is 2 from Nuge!

Stevosevic Posted 5 January 2015 Posted 5 January 2015 Arry says they need a miracle if they are to get a striker in.
ozleicester Posted 5 January 2015 Posted 5 January 2015 ive heard that people cant see him coming here
Will1981 Posted 5 January 2015 Posted 5 January 2015 6 for Ulloa and 1 for Nuge. Penalties don't count. 5 for Ulloa cup goals dont count.
Ric Flair Posted 5 January 2015 Posted 5 January 2015 5 for Ulloa cup goals dont count. Ulloa has 7 in the league pal, only 1 peno. Then 1 in the cup. So 6 real goals.
Kierzz Posted 5 January 2015 Posted 5 January 2015 Ulloa has 7 in the league pal, only 1 peno. Then 1 in the cup. So 6 real goals. Plus the goal against Liverpool at home should have really been given to him so 9 in total. Frazier Campbell only scored 9 last season in total
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 5 January 2015 Posted 5 January 2015 Col is right. There was a sense of injustice that we had to compete with QPR last season on what many on here felt was not a level playing field. The main debate was why should QPR be able to keep players on Premier League wages and splash out even more money on the likes of Austin, when we were focused on cutting the wage bill. Now its us bottom of the Premier League at New Year and many are screaming out for new signings to add quality. The reality is -- as QPR found -- quality signings come at a price and often with complex contractual arrangements, which means if we do end up relegated, it could be very hard to get rid of the high earners at the end of the season. Yes, Col was right, and now 'Arry is doing the business. Like it or not, he carries more clout than Pearson Yes, also to your pointing out that quality signings come at a price. ( Numpty nerd "Babble on" please note )
The Doctor Posted 5 January 2015 Posted 5 January 2015 Reported in the back of todays sun column that Sven goran eriksson is trying to hijack the potential transfer (Yes i know it's toilet paper material but thought i'd post it up) Does Sven even have a job at the moment?
Gary Eatfood Posted 5 January 2015 Posted 5 January 2015 Does Sven even have a job at the moment? One more massive payday managing in Shanghai.
sylofox Posted 5 January 2015 Posted 5 January 2015 There's been a number of cases where self made millionaires have taken over clubs and left them bankrupt. Just because it looked like that in the public domain doesn't mean we weren't trying equally hard to sign other players. Wwe know from the scouting reports LCFC have published that we have a long list of 'graded' players we're interested in and pursuing. Pearson keeps his transfer dealings close so the only ones we hear about are when the other 'side' let it be known for their own ulterior motives. Seems like some would rather we did a Pompey or Coventry or even an Accrington. Would rather yoyo and have a club for life than a shite or bust club.
sylofox Posted 5 January 2015 Posted 5 January 2015 Apparently in Harrods buying a new rug Is he bald then? I thought he just shaved his head.
johnny the fox Posted 5 January 2015 Posted 5 January 2015 just been seen in the mobility centre buying a truss...
MC Prussian Posted 5 January 2015 Posted 5 January 2015 Is he bald then? I thought he just shaved his head. Working on his aerodynamics already, I love it - alternatively, he could use the Space Centre for further improvements.
Bamba's Babes Posted 5 January 2015 Posted 5 January 2015 What did Hull do in January last season? Bought Long and Jelavic. Their fans would have doubted that they'd sign both. Just because we are close to Kramaric doesn't mean the Defoe deal is dead.
