Club statement on Claudio's future

Recommended Posts

widely interpreted by all the cynics and players of football manager as confirming he will be sacked.  we know that the owners are loyal. we know that Claudio was told that his job would be safe if we had been relegated last season. let the outside world believe what they want. this statement says that he is going nowhere so we need to get behind the team and the players need to get their arses into gear !

well the last paragraph doesnt ring true tbh, the players dont seem behind the manager given the lacklustre performances

only 3 ways this will go: he gets sacked sometime this month or next, we stay up(blind miracle) or we go down

atm im going for going down given the rubbish performances with no sort of fight or effort

Has there been a press conference with Ranieri today, or just that paper to tell everyone owner's viewpoint?

A good idea, but more pressure to get results.

surely less pressure?  the press are full of 'four games to save his job'.  the club have basically commented that this is rubbish.

The problem is that you don't say anything and the press keep saying he's about to get it. Then you release it and everyone says 'lol he's about to be sacked'. So what can you do?

to save the club embarrassment the only honourable thing to do is resign and take up a new role. Can t see anything changing if no action is taken.

this seems to be a

common theme in his career.

good first season , poor second season

'...the unprecedented success achieved in recent seasons has been based firmly on stability, togetherness and determination to overcome even the greatest of challenges.'

and there was me thinking that our success last season came after sacking a manager..
