Fox92 Posted 27 October 2015 Posted 27 October 2015 and that Kasper Schmeichel lad Never heard of him.
Finnaldo Posted 27 October 2015 Posted 27 October 2015 You mean like Jordi Cruyff and Callum Best ? And my personal favourite, James Pearson.
daddylonglegs Posted 1 November 2015 Posted 1 November 2015 can anyone argue with the opinion that he has the best first touch in the league? such a rarity it doesn't just stick to his foot!
shen Posted 1 November 2015 Posted 1 November 2015 can anyone argue with the opinion that he has the best first touch in the league? such a rarity it doesn't just stick to his foot! Cazorla, Silva, Agüero, Mata etc all have simply sublime first touches. He's on brilliant form, but let's not get silly.

Guest Posted 1 November 2015 Posted 1 November 2015 He has a great first touch and at the moment his passing is immaculate. I can't see any possibility that he won't be in the champions league with a top team next season.

EverybodyDannsNow Posted 1 November 2015 Posted 1 November 2015 He actually put in a few good defensive tackles on Saturday. On his way to becoming the all round player
FoxonMaui Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 We should enjoy every minute of Riyad's time with us. We are probably seeing the greatest talent to ever pull on a city shirt. He is going to end up at the very highest level. Probably Barcelona. Having seen Shilton, lineker, Worthington and Weller play for us, I would place him talent wise above them all. Vardy is a phenomenal story, but Mahrez is heading to another level. Let's hope he stays with us for a couple of years and takes us into the CL. It makes it even better that the boy seems to be humble and grateful to the club for giving him the chance. What a great time to be a Leicester fan.
suffolk fox Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 Let's not get carried away here. Mahrez is good but he isn't that good. Tends to cut back into on his left side better defenders suss it. Better than Weller, Worthington. No, nowhere near. Differant times then though Weller, Worthington could do it on pitches that resembled ploughed fields not the bowling greens of today.

Was also tougher for dedenders to turn on those surfaces. Works both ways.
suffolk fox Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 Was also tougher for dedenders to turn on those surfaces. Works both ways. Disagree, defenders didn't turn on those surfaces they went through you with both feet. Aka Norman Hunter, Tommy Smith, Billy Bremner and our own Graham Cross. You didn't dilly dally on the ball in those days that's why Weller and Worthington were better. Granted Mahrez is good but you can't compare.
queensguardfox Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 Manchester United contact Riyad Mahrez According to our colleagues at France Football, Premier League giants Manchester United have contacted Leicester City attacker Riyad Mahrez’s entourage about a possible move. United are very interested in the player, who has also caught the attention of PSG in recent weeks, according to the report. http://www.getfootballnewsfrance.com/2015/manchester-united-contact-riyad-mahrez/?

Everybody knows what Arjen Robben is going to do with the ball but hasn't stopped him from becoming world class
lgfualol Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 Of all the teams he could go to, please not United. Please not another Prem club.
J.Lisemore Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 The only way we'd sell, is if Riyad handed in a transfer request. With the new TV deal and whatnot, money isn't an issue.
adam95581 Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 If he leaves us I can see him staying in th Prem as he's just married an English woman. The difference with Riyad this year is that he's added goals to his game aswell as the assists he was already capable of. Should we be worried that half of our goals this season have come from just two players..
MC Prussian Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 Of all the teams he could go to, please not United. Please not another Prem club. He'd do well in Spain. But I'd rather watch Riyad Mahrez in his prime working his socks off for Leicester than breaking our record transfer fee. Remember what happened after we sold Heskey - the whole team never really recovered and, coupled with other market moves, was then dismantled bit by bit. Which was the initial stage of our downfall the following few years. Domino effect and all.
teblin Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 It will take big money for us to part with him. £20 million +. As we don't "need" to sell.

Lets hope that his recent interview about how he loves Leicester's style of play means that he's not looking to move on - moving to Man Utd will only stifle him as a player, Van Gaal's system is boring and predictable. Again, I suspect this is coming from his agent to try to get him a better deal either at Leicester or elsewhere.
VLC86 Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 Anyone seen his wife before? Always seen Mahrez at the stadium on his own away from the pitch mostly. Someone has to run the kebab shop mate.
Devonfox1884 Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 Worst that will happen is: we sell him for £25-30million, then buy Carillo for £10million-Carillo is also a very good player. There is NO WAY I want Riyad to leave though...
Babylon Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 It will take big money for us to part with him. £20 million +. As we don't "need" to sell. Easily that, when you look at what's spent on others... £12m for bloody Rondon. £30m+ for Otamendi, £50m De Bruyne, £25m Schneiderlin. With new money starting next season these figures are only going up. For us to sell him minimum £25m bid would be needed.

No matter how much a player might not like the style of Man U or a Chelsea at the moment... if they come calling with contracts of 100k a week +, there is little chance of us keeping them.
