Premier League Season 2016-17 Stuff it in here.

Recommended Posts

Teams that fail always come out with the 'but we play better football' line. Unfortunately playing fancy football in England wins you sweet F.A. Spurs fans for years belittling Arsenal for coming out with that and now slowly they're seeing themselves morph into them, although less successful.

Hope you enjoyed your beautiful football last season, I'm sure you'll go down in history for it, just like Arsenal have done for the last decade... While I'll be remembering winning the title.

Liverpool have swapped their game against Burnley as they think their main stand won't be ready in time.

It means their first home game is on the 10th September, against us!

I don't know why people are bigging up Spurs. Pochettino is a loser, he can't change games when his team is struggling.

Got a diehard saints mate who was glad he left, because the southampton fans believe he has got no plan B. This is backed up by the last 20 minutes at home to WBA and last 10 minutes away at Chelsea when Spurs couldn't put two passes together and basically gave up going for the winner. A real manager would have provided guidance and inspiration.

Will also be surprised if Kane has another top goal scoring season, so who is going to score their goals.

Except... Klopp won't be able to get the signings he wants. And he isn't even that good. Rodgers was better.

Pep will flop. Only has a plan A.

Jose is a broken man just wasting money.

Arsenal won't sign anyone else... but still finish top 4.

Spurs will be decent but have a slow start and poor finish, probably outside of the top 4.

Chelsea and West Ham are our biggest title challengers imo.

All  of those things could happen, or Klopp will get his players functioning as a cohesive unit, he didn't have the best players at Dortmund but he moulded  them into his players, Pep backed by millions will get Man City organised and playing a high pressing game with a cutting edge up front. Jose will come back stronger fired up by Chelsea and the presence of Pep of the players will respond being freed from LVGs shackles.

Spurs could build on last season and not bottle it until the last game

Chelsea could implode under Conte, he is a ruthless and authoritative manager and will not take any shit from pampered prima-donnas, he is also late to pre-season and finding his feet, possibly another player revolt is on the cards.

West Ham could crumble under the weight of expectation of the new ground and a Europa league campaign

Stoke could find their rhythm early and get up amongst it from the start and hold on all season, they have some talented players and an underrated manager with a couple of additions they could be the surprise package and Everton could thrive under Koeman and if they keep Lukaku could be up again challenging.

Then there is us, fvck knows what we will do this season.

It really is an exciting season where anything could happen, throw Watford and Middlesbrough into the mix as absolute wild cards and nothing is certain except....

Arsenal won't sign anyone else but still finish top 4

And Burnley will be relegated but still be loved by the media and constantly described as plucky and gritty and battling against financial inequality...

This is what I find funny about it all. They've become everything they supposedly hate.

Its going to be even more incredible this season...

2 x in a row the pundits, panellists and wanna be experts will be getting it

Wrong once again. Other suprise teams will pop there heads above the parapit.

I actually believe that Athletico, and Leicester....

while they may have not broke the mould, they have put some heavy cracks in it.

The so called weaker PL teams, will be pushing harder, following the no fear ethos.

Not only that, but the majority of clubs now have some talent in their ranks, the field is

slowly levelling out, we are going to see some top coaches becoming more frustrated.

The worrying part, again foreigners are making the headlines, maybe wanting to get 2-3

seasons in before Visas (might) become a must.

lol seriously?

Yes. Liverpool is a poisoned chalice. Who have they been able to buy? Who have they been linked with? Chilwell?!

The Brodge never finished lower than 7th with them. And he finished 2nd without Europe. Klopp isn't going to be finishing near 2nd this season.

Our success last season has given hope to almost all teams in this league that they can win the title with hard work, team spirit and dedication.

So even a team like Liverpool in its current shape could potentially get there again in 16/17.

Klopp's won 2 titles and cups and got to the CL final, and 2 finals in less than 1 season with Liverpool. They were 10th when he took over. Rodgers has won the Championship play-offs. Rodgers couldn't get out of a CL group containing Basel and Ludogorets Razgrad and were knocked from the EL by Besiktas in their first round. They finished 2nd because of Luis Suarez. They had no Europe that season.

Klopp shits all over 'The Brodge'.

Southampton are signing Pierre-Emile Hojberg from Bayern for £12 million - that's a cracking signing potentially. Saw a bit of him playing for Schalke last season and thought he'd be knocking on the door at Bayern next season. He'd have been good for us.

Dyche is like one of those twats who is on the phone to the debt collectors insisting he's broke whilst at the same time taking delivery of a 62 inch flatscreeen.

this is a myth.

you need hard work, team spirit and dedication but you also need quality players.

we had the 3 best players in the league last season with the rest all playing out of their skins.

Is it?

You could argue that they only turned into the 3 best players in the league because of the people around them and thanks to them riding on a wave of positivity following the end of the 14/15 season.

You also need a top bollocks manager who is great tactically. It helped that we built a great squad over a few years too.

Not everybody has an equal chance of winning the league. Our exploits aren't going to be repeated by a Watford or a Sunderland because the others have strengthened significantly with better managers and by the end of the window better squads than last season.

Leicester

Chelsea

Liverpool

Arsenal

Man Utd

Man City

West Ham

Can't see anyone other than Everton or Palace breaking into that top 7 let alone winning the title.

Team spirit and hard work will only get you so far. That's why Burnley still went down a couple of seasons ago. They gave 100% in every game but they didn't build the right squad. Dyche may have improved tactically but it seems like they are making the same mistake in terms of players this season.

At some point you need quality.

So are you saying one of Burnley's players in going to be as good as Mahrez next season?

Which one?
