Getting this pair would be a huge statement. Silva is exactly the type of player we could do with and I'd love to see him play for City.

Can I just say not being awkward but LFC is Liverpool. We're LCFC. Champions of England!

What are Lincoln then?

You can do a lot of negotiation in two days. We need to make this happen, now that we've shown our hand. worst case scenario bung them a few million and Silva joins us in January.

Exciting times being a Leicester Fan.

We need bodies bit more in the next four months than after January!

It's a game of chess at this stage.

You do wonder if the outside influences (Bank) are leaning on them stating .... take the money, we need to be repaid.

Looks like the player and his agent are desperate to join us (who would have ever dreamed a player like him would want to join little old Leicester so much!) but the owner is putting his foot down.

I think this one could drag on until the final minute!

Not according to the helpful sporting fellas who have come on here

also think he fact this 'interview ' was given to a northern unfriendly newspaper will help with silva/ fans relationship if no deal goes through.  Looks like the agent is trying to cover all bases and the pay rise to stay may be numerous uno.

I think any source saying it's a done deal should be ignored as they are almost all based on Silva's original comments and a lot of water has passed under the bridge since then!

Pay rise? Can imagine their bank loving that.

'Yes we turned down the chance to repay you a few million, whilst you're on the phone any chance of extending the overdraft?'

I perhaps think there is more to this one. Although Adrien signed a new contract a few months ago, I guess he was told he would be able to leave if a good offer came in for him..... I guess this offer whilst not made formal has been mooted and president has said no, going back on his word forcing Adrien's hand to go to the media - Club Captains don't do that to a club they've been with since they were 12 for no reason.

I doubt anybody will come good in all of this but I can't see their Captain staying after all this.

I believe with his new deal he is on around 40K/week...and Slimani is on less than 15. Promises of moves to greener pastures is likely with those numbers.

Last night I thought this was still on despite the posturing from Sporting's president. However, the fact that they now seem to be blocking the Slimani deal too makes me think that maybe we'll be turning our attentions elsewhere pretty soon as we'll be wasting our time negotiating with Sporting.
