Gibson looked very average to me last season, but so did Keane to me this time last year and I genuinely consider Stones one of the worst defenders in the league so what do I know?! What everybody but Man City does?

Simples really. I certainly am! Got it now, well you learn something every day. Cheers.

Melbourne Fuchs Posted 2 July 2017 Posted 2 July 2017 Doesn't quite sit right with me taking a photo of the bloke on his holiday. Not to mention he looks like he's working, hardly sitting back trying to get a tan.

Yes we all think he's a plonker but he's also got a family and needs to relax himself simply because of the high stress job he's involved in. Having said that, does seem a funny time to go on holiday for someone with such a role?
KFS Posted 2 July 2017 Posted 2 July 2017 I say fair play to him. Obviously looks to be working despite on a lounger. Are you all factory workers lads? Scariest thing is those sandals, **** me. What are those?
Babylon Posted 2 July 2017 Posted 2 July 2017 If only someone could invent a mode of transport that can get you from the canaries to England in 4 hours.

Hes on his laptop and has his phone next to him, people need to get a grip! Everyone, including him will be back at the club next week. Simples.

chadlcfc Posted 2 July 2017 Posted 2 July 2017 I had no interest in getting a picture of him but people on twitter basically calling me a liar when I said he was here
Leeds Fox Posted 3 July 2017 Posted 3 July 2017 Fair enough he may be able to do his with a laptop and a phone, but doing it in public next to a swimming pool is hardly the most proffesional way to go about his business. He's paid well, he should be able to stay around the office in the most important time period for his job. Maybe we are looking too deeply into it. Especially after the shambles of last summer, you'd think they'd go above and beyond to make up for it this year.
MPH Posted 3 July 2017 Posted 3 July 2017 If anything that photo has given me more respect for him. He's on his holiday and he's still working, trying to get players in...

A laptop & a mobile is all that is needed
wattolcfc Posted 3 July 2017 Posted 3 July 2017 We could do with Theresa May as DOF, she isn't afraid to pay a bung to get a deal done.

We probably have a verbal agreement or two with a couple players under the radar. Patience is a virtue Lets hope we do have a 'shortlist' and not a 'Sh*tlist".
Ric Flair Posted 3 July 2017 Posted 3 July 2017 I'd rather he was on holiday, we might get something done then if Shakespeare is allowed to do old fashioned manager type things and sign fcukin players.

He's 4 hours away, if he was in Scotland nobody would bat an eyelid and it would take the same amount of time to get back in a car. As for whether it's professional or not, it's only unprofessional if he's giving details away. It's no different to walking down the street in London and answering your phone. I doubt he's sat there like Dom Jolly "HELLO, YEAH I'LL ACCEPT £30M FOR MAHREZ".
The whole world smiles Posted 3 July 2017 Posted 3 July 2017 Is this the world we live in now? The poor sod can't go on holiday (whilst clearly working) with his family without someone secretly photographing him and posting it to a very popular internet forum for everyone to abuse him. Poor form.

I don't have kids so I'm not up on the topic of school holidays but perhaps his kids have finished school and he didn't want to drag them out or something. Tell you what, if we do miserably in this transfer window we can lambast him then!
Leeds Fox Posted 3 July 2017 Posted 3 July 2017 I understand what you're all saying, he can do his job with just his phone and his laptop, but just look at the photo and decide whether that's how you want our transfers conducted. No wonder our rivals are stealing a march on us!

He'd still be sat there in front of his laptop doing the exact same thing, just in a worse mood as he's not in the sun at the same time. Besides, for all we know he's sat there playing Minesweeper.
