I know it's a Stringer vs player thing; but who has to leave before normal (20+ year) service is resumed? Kasper? Morgan? Vardy? Is it part of the club initiation "we don't speak to that journalist because he was mean to a former (twice removed) Boss". It it also can't be with total player support as the second Liam Moore left he did an in depth interview with Stringer. Not a vitally important topic, but surely the pettiness must stop soon?

The root cause of it was stringer making hugely inappropriate gestures after a couple of years of inflammatory interviews and a campaign to try and remove our manager. He's sneaky and serpentine. My question is why would you WANT him involved with our club?

Stringer deserves it for being a sensationalist arse and chasing soundbites during 14/15.

I hadn't noticed it still going on tbh Stringer was being sensationalist and trying to talk about the manager being sacked all the time, in one case questioning the manager whilst in earshot of him and him 'not caring that he's in the same room as him' at the time of the comment. A complete lack of respect. The manager didn't like it, and the players who supported the manager didn't like it and took it upon themselves to f*** him off. A lot of listeners didn't like it, but I didn't mind as it showed the players and management stuck up for each other, and all parties knew any issues were sorted out behind closed doors, thus increasing unity and team spirit. I think at any other club, with our results, things would have quickly disintegrated and got worse. Thankfully we had a mix of great characters who knuckled down and got things right whilst not letting the negativity of the press infiltrate the dressing room.

Now hardly ever is a caller even on air...just an hour of drivel from Stringer and Bourne too. Just pure nonsense. Debating the other day whether Iceland was in Scandinavia or not. Do we actually care? Just like a couple of kids giggling and sniggering all the time. It's all about Stringers ego usually I find. Thankfully I don't have to listen to RL commentary as much as back in the championship.

His handling of the Vardy - Jap casino affair was so detrimental to the interests of the Club that I am surprised he is still allowed near the Club.. This I suspect is a major factor as to why there is a player embargo with RL.

Chasing soundbites, sensationalising everything for clicks and retweets. The people above him obviously approved of that tone as Bourne seemed to change his style and follow Stringers lead. As a local station who are supposed to be behind the club, whipping up stories to get a reaction is never going to play well.

Since then the players refused to talk to him. His handling of the Vardy incident was also pathetic as I recall, did he have much to say over Simpson? How did he cover Ranieri's sacking? I only ever ever listened to RL as a last resort and found him to be a tiresome egotist, his interviews were cringeworthy and he often showed a complete lack of respect or professionalism. Seems like he still hasn't learned and because of his ego missed out on getting the inside track on the greatest sporting story of the millennium.

Since I moved to Aus over 10 years ago, I haven't listened to Radio Leicester once, yet feel right now I can listen and connect with the players as much, if not more than ever when I lived in Leicester. If we go down, things may change as it was harder to get content in the Championship and L1 but not impossible. RL need the club and it's supporters more than the other way around.

He did the slit throat gesture at the end of a game, I think it may have been the liverpool one, the fact pearson was then caught telling a supporter to FOAD probably meant more wasn't made of it at the time, I believe it was konchesky who saw stringer make the gesture and from that point, the manager and the players closed ranks and decided they wouldn't speak to Stringer, not Radio Leicester, Radio Leicester are welcome to send someone else to press conferences or after match and they will talk, the issue is not with the Radio Station, however the boss at the station is a fan of stringer and backed him, so although stringer was a jeb end, the buck stops with the management at Radio Leicester as far as not getting interviews, they could solve it by sending Jason or someone else from my understanding of it. sure @UpTheLeagueFox could fill you in with more, and correct me if I'm wrong, but i think we have been over this ground more than once.

The BBC had received loads of complaints about his attitude and tactics. But allowed him to continue with his childish games. I hope the players never talk to stringer again. Out of interest how many complaining have RL tuned in and listen to it other than on the way home after a game. The players have my ultimate backing over that jumped up tosser.

The issue is with Stringer not RL. But it sounds like the management came out the same mould as stringer. They do have the option of sending someone else for interviews but won't. Just as I have said above they had received loads of complaints about stringer befor the players refusal but allowed him to continue.

As a former scribe who's worked with far better than Stringer will ever be, I entirely agree with your comments and would have chosen similar words myself. With all that goes on in Leicester nowadays, including at the football club, our local radio station should be a compelling listen. Instead it's an irritatingly mundane afterthought - something I refer to as a last resort.
