Amartey hasn't proven anything, nor has Gray. They're both kids playing bit part roles. Amartey hasn't even played in his supposed preferred position for us.

Either he'll focus on these strongly during pre-season and more prepared for when the season starts, or he can leave now - I'm beginning to feel the latter is the better decision, despite any possible losses, as he seems to be a player that doesn't learn from his errors.
Melbourne Fuchs Posted 15 June 2017 Posted 15 June 2017 Keep. When Amartey first arrived here he had to try to make an impression in a team that was winning the league. Then he had to replace the irreplaceable. After that he's had to play in a team totally devoid of confidence and enthusiasm. Since Shakey's got here he has hardly had any playing time. Throughout all of this he has mostly been played out of position. Give him another season, I reckon he's got something to him. A loan or a buy-back clause to somewhere he'll get playing time could also be a solution if Shakey doesn't feel he's ready yet.

filbertway Posted 15 June 2017 Posted 15 June 2017 Tough one. I'm all for developing him, but play him in his correct position or let him go somewhere else and play at centre back with another club. Seems there's a quite a split on here between people who'd rather have ready made players and people who'd like to see young players developed. I think I'll always like to see a player grow with the club rather than sacking them off early doors because they're not quite good enough.

He's not very good at right back or central midfield and we will have 4 CBs ahead of him?
