You wouldn't believe this but the biggest crack of thunder hit just as you posted that. I'm gonna take more notice of you in future. lol

See?

In three seasons at the top level, despite winning the league, we still don't possess any decent footballers who play with ball to feet and who pass ALONG THE FLOOR!!!

That's crazy.

We're not easy to watch at the moment and we've turned up at another stadium and been outplayed footballing wise.  Totally outplayed.

I wonder what the Liverpool forum is like just now, after a draw against a side expected to struggle.  Sounds familiar.

Or the Watford forum after they lost 6-0 at home.

Maybe those using apocalyptic vocabulary could reflect on the positives.

:scarf:

But Liverpool beats top6 sides.. we don't.

If we can't beat top6 sides nor top 20 sides, then we are relegation material

No no no we must panic now and sack the manager.

Has he not been bundled out of the door yet by hysterical fans...?

Incompetent manager bereft of ideas. We have not got the quality of players for 442 against a newly promoted average side, so what are the chances against better sides? Wake up dough boy or get out.

Your posts are usually quite balanced and I really don't get this one. We can talk about the subs and you still can admit that he didn't have that much of options today, don't you?

I'm not panicking or calling for the manager's head but tbh I couldn't care less what Liverpool or Watford fans are thinking. It was a poor performance and there's no hiding that.

Not great.

However we had the chances to win. Iheanacho just before our pen, Vardy missing the tap in, and ****ing Gray throwing himself to the floor rather than taking a shot in the last few minutes.

The one sub I had issue with was Slimani for Vardy. There was no tactical reason for that that I can think of. I can only assume it's to rotate the strikers and keep them all sweet which is not what a top manager should be doing. He should be going for 3 points and Vardys pace and tenacity suited the last 10 minutes of that match.

I also can't understand why Iborra didn't come on for King around the same time as Okazaki. We were building momentum and needed both presence and a foot on the ball in midfield to maintain and build that momentum.

It's understandable having a bad first half against a newly promoted team who are fully energised and up for it. But second half our quality should have shown through and took us to the 3 points and whilst we improved it wasn't nearly enough.

Shakey needs to be more ruthless because if this carries on he's going to be out of a job in a couple of months and 'top 6 opposition' won't be enough of an excuse.

The likes of Gray and Vardy need a bollocking for not taking their chances. Whilst players like Chilwell need to be told to put the ball in the 6 yard box first time once they are at the byline. King needs telling to be more aggressive and match the opponents and Ndidis workrate too.

Too many players are shirking responsibility at the minute.

Totally brainless comment.

Vardy is a great player for us,

je works hard scores goals and has a fantastic strike rate and he's been doing it years.

All strikers miss chances generally he doesn't.

Not brainless at all. Slim misses and we hear about it non stop for the rest of the week. Vardy misses an absolute nailed on sitter and costs us 2 points = Slimanis fault

Every single one of your posts on this thread has been absolutely pointless.

Anyway, a very frustrating day at the office. I feel for Shakey with the squad he has to work with at present. Like someone mentioned earlier in the thread, elements of this squad are become difficult to love.

Well, we shall see.....

I see where you're coming from, but 3 or 4 'bad days at the office' usually means 'nowhere near Champions League standard'.

I'm confused... you were expecting Champions League standard?

It's the lack of tempo and intensity that's concerning.

We basically sleepwalked through that first half.

All good and well talking about missing personnel, but slotting new guys in won't necessarily sort out the attitude.

We are lacking an identity.

Quite right, but regardless of what the owners said a few years ago we are not champions league standard. If we were then kante and drinkwater woildnt be partying on romans yacht.

We are hopefully a top half team possibly pushing for europa which means that days like today will happen.

I made a comment the other day before this game about a formation change and tactic change and stand by my point after today. We can't keep hoofing it up field and must try and have possession of the ball. We aren't good enough with 2 in the middle so let's go 3-5-2.

Still question marks over Shakey as we are playing two year old tactics. Can he put his own mark on the teams style?

I really hope he can as totally fed up with just backing off and giving the opposition the ball!

I made a point before the game concerning CS's sub's. And he made yet another dodgy one today, taking vardy off. Ffs when is he going to learn. Still, its a point away, at a team that are  buoyant. Move on.

Yes Babs, the aim for the season should be at least the fringes of the CL qualifiers.

Slim had a better goals per game and assists per game average than Vardy last season. If people want to ignore that and make out he's can't contribute, it's up to them. But Vardy had done mostly bugger all in that game and we were trying to nick something.

I cany disagree with Slimani's stats, but there is pretty much no time I would swap Vardy for Slimani, including this one.

Seemed to settle for one all by taking Vardy off.

Poor overall today. Started terribly and started again shite in second half.

Maguire was bullied most of the game and didn't have a good game although I thought Simpson and Morgan had good games though.

Gray might well have gone for a pen at the end but then shows how poor Moss is. Should have booked him for diving if he believed he was cheating. Hate the incompetent ****.

Not happy with only a point although that is all what we deserved.
