Chester Dontlie Posted 19 September 2017 Share Posted 19 September 2017 It's simple our shinjitsu was better than theirs Take a bow Okazaki ya beauty Things I've learned today: - Slim can use his feet - I love Iborra - afro haircut doesn't help blocking shots - never turn off the stream before the interviews (I missed Shinji's)

shen Posted 19 September 2017 Share Posted 19 September 2017 What a strange game that was. First half was eye-gougingly bad. Ulloa and Slimani held on to a grand total of 0 balls. Iborra, Albrighton and Ndidi seemed like they had a competition about passing to red jerseys. Gray being his usual self with great runs and woeful end product/decision making. The defense was hilariously out of tune with Amartey giving Robertson the freedom of Leicester and Chilwell nearly gifiting a great chance. One would've thought that the second half would bring changes, but truth is we only really started to compete because Coutinho went off and Ulloa had a laugh about how bad he could play and still be on the pitch until he took matters into his own hands. But even then (!) we were still bloody dreadful. Gray got more into the game, but he really produced nothing of note until we were 2-0 up come to think of it. Slimani, I swear, did NOTHING good with the ball bar his goal and the layoff leading up to it. Iborra I'd argue was even worse than first half and somehow he gets an assist to his name. Shinji is really the only player who impressed tonight and how fitting it was that he scuffs in a deflected shot.

NotTheMarketLeader Posted 19 September 2017 Share Posted 19 September 2017 Shakespeare is a dead man walking based on that. Yes we won, but the why's and wherefores are totally independent of his input. Ludicrous to put Iborra in a 2 man midfield. He's not cut out for that type of roll Shakey ffs. The first half was devoid of any inspiration, tactical nous or plan. Unless this win is a turning point from where we can gather momentum, I struggle to see him being successful. To repeat a better second half; which the manager had nothing to do with. He fluked it.

RowlattsFox Posted 19 September 2017 Share Posted 19 September 2017 Gray has to start instead of Mahrez on Saturday, but then Albrighton never looks as good on the right, which is strange. Okazaki performance almost certainly means him and Vardy up front. Liverpool are perfect for Okazaki, try and play the ball but often lose it. Koke Posted 19 September 2017 Share Posted 19 September 2017 What the hell did we watch? That was the most bipolar performance I have seen. First half we were utterly abysmal. We looked like a League One team. Second half we decided to turn up. Thank you to Ulloa for winning us the game. Match winning injury.

Anyone with at least 2 brain cells could see that Liverpool were dominating that game and deserved to win. However, the cheat club Leicester and the FA once again ruin another quality Liverpool performance.
