Arriba Los Zorros Posted 16 January 2018 Posted 16 January 2018 Jury still out on Puel in home games for me, we can lack a cutting edge. Feel more comfortable when we play away currently. Would like to see him dispel doubts with a commanding performance and resounding win.
Corky Posted 16 January 2018 Posted 16 January 2018 Need to play with the same intensity as we did at Chelsea. A win here could take us to 7th.
FoxinNotts Posted 16 January 2018 Posted 16 January 2018 A big big game in our season, for many reasons. Full strength (barring injuries etc), it kinda should pick itself. Schmeichel Amartey Maguire Dragovic Fuchs Mahrez Silva Ndidi Albrighton Okazaki Vardy 1
Foxxed Posted 16 January 2018 Posted 16 January 2018 If they're going to sit back and counter this may be tricky. I wonder if Slim and Ian would be useful against these. Silva's first premier league start?

Though Albrighton will start IMO
Redouane Posted 16 January 2018 Posted 16 January 2018 Burnely face Utd on Saturday. I reckon 7th place is in the bag *fingers crossed"
brucey Posted 16 January 2018 Posted 16 January 2018 we've still been a bit dodgy against mid table teams under Puel so far, seem to play better against top 6 and rock bottom teams. hope that changes here
HybridFox Posted 17 January 2018 Posted 17 January 2018 Could be a watershed moment in our season if we dispatch Watford on Saturday. It's been our achilles heel dropping points to a lesser side on the back of an impressive result against one of the big guns. Points against Chelsea, United etc are a bonus, not a substitute. This is our bread and butter game. 1
tsintskaro Posted 17 January 2018 Posted 17 January 2018 must win game Burnley has downfall and it was pretty obvious they couldnt keep winning games so its time to shine 7th place may be ticket to europe 3
Guest Posted 17 January 2018 Posted 17 January 2018 Kasper Albrighton Dragovic Maguire Chilwell Ndidi Iborra Mahrez Silva Gray Vardy It's not going to be that but I'd like it to be.

Thats what Puel would like us to be ultimately I think, based on last night's second half sub of Slim for Marc

Beat Spurs, should have beaten United, beat Burnley which was massively impressive and hammered Huddersfield 2
Ted Maul Posted 17 January 2018 Posted 17 January 2018 We owe these one after our boxing day horror show. 2

We let in on average 2 goals a game so really there should be no excuse as the home team for you not to win... Although you are in form and we do seem to perform better against such sides!
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 17 January 2018 Posted 17 January 2018 Travesty how we lost to this shower on boxing day. Payback please, 3-0.
Babylon Posted 17 January 2018 Posted 17 January 2018 Some ghosts need exercising from the last game, horror show.
Clever Fox Posted 17 January 2018 Posted 17 January 2018 Watford are an awkward Team to play against. Their Big and like to play with a high Tempo. I think our best chance is to get a grip on the Ball and keep them chasing us for the first 30 minutes. Then heads will start to drop and we can control the rest of the game. Silva may not play a full game due to him getting up to speed, But he could be important in keep possession and getting control early in the game with Iborra, Wilf and Mahrez. I think the opportunity to go 7th will inspire the team to give it a real go. Fancy a Win, but we need to watch Deeney second half. 1
SuperMike Posted 17 January 2018 Author Posted 17 January 2018 Like to see Silva play. He appears to be a class act. There again, so does Iborra. On the other hand - neither played at Chelsea and we dominated. What do others reckon? Different to the start of the season when midfield was everyone's concern!

Watford looked like a real handful early season. Do you think your drop in form is due to the Everton/Silva saga? Edited 17 January 2018 by murphy

Four lean sheets on the trot?
StriderHiryu Posted 18 January 2018 Posted 18 January 2018 Think this is a fair assessment of the challenge tomorrow. In our previous game against them I felt we had them beat but then just gave it away with sloppy mistakes. 1

Yeah, I think on paper that team is what Puel is working towards? I'd like to see us try it but we'll see. Harsh on Okazaki though who is such a legend. X
