Did he really think they would put up with his strops and moans. A record signing needs to act and perform like one. None of them think he is. 2

katieakita Posted 23 January 2019 Posted 23 January 2019 Mahrez having a bad 1st half for us was not so bad he would be given the chance to turn things around in the 2nd half and even if he didn't would still be nailed on to start the next game. At Man City have a poor 1st half and expect to be subbed if the world class replacement is also poor he can be replaced in the next game by someone as equally good. Man City have not got a best 11 it is more like best 22 so you have to keep at the top of your game. Think this was always going to be an issue going from being a gig fish in a little pool. As for money yes he is on an obscene amount but then again he was also on an obscene amount here. Never heard of him up at the clocktower selling the Big Issue to support himself.
Popular Post foxes21 Posted 23 January 2019 Popular Post Posted 23 January 2019 free mehrez, manchester is oil club 5
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 23 January 2019 Posted 23 January 2019 Maybe we could do a straight swap deal for him to return, and they can have Nacho back 1
murphy Posted 23 January 2019 Posted 23 January 2019 A strange situation whereby both sets of supporters think that the other club has had their pants down over this transfer. A happy, fully switched on Mahrez is worth more than £60m to us whereas Man City fans reckon we ripped them off.
nnfox Posted 23 January 2019 Posted 23 January 2019 Unhappy with the lack of PL football? He could come back here and be first name on the team sheet every week, but for half the money. I think he'll suck it up and stay put.

Yeah exactly. He's contributing a goal or an assist every 99 minutes this season. Hardly wank, just less than Sterling and Sane.

Their standards and expectations of players are gonna be a lot higher than ours. He hasn't been awful at Man City by any means but I have noticed in games he isn't working as hard as others. His body language doesn't help him to be fair to him, he strolls around the pitch looking lackadaisical

They financially pick apart teams like us when they can't do it on the pitch, don't even use the players they sign and then we're left to struggle on with an average squad going nowhere. I know it's as much the players' greed to blame, but it still sucks. Hence the massive gulf in class between the top 6 and everyone else and overall a weaker premier league, the stockpiling of players by Man City and Chelsea in particular is obscene, nothing much can be done about it I’m afraid, money talks and agents will always push players into moves.

Farrington fox Posted 23 January 2019 Posted 23 January 2019 Not Premier league, but fair play to Man City, fielding a pretty strong side against Burton tonight.

Even if they fielded their U-23 I don't see any kind of disrespect. They compete on many front and did the hard work in the first leg.
sdb Posted 23 January 2019 Posted 23 January 2019 There was a Telegraph article on youth players in PL teams today. I was at work and don’t have a log in so missed it. Has anyone got the article they could copy in here please?
