Stoopid Posted 24 April 2019 Posted 24 April 2019 Once got into a thumping tear-up on (what is now) Nelson Mandela park with a group of lowlife tw#ts called (acccording to their Union Jack flag) The 'Leicester Reds' after an FA Cup defeat in the mid 70s. [A game that also heard the first airing (in my experience ) of the 'Que Sera Sera ...Whatever Will Be Will Be - We're Going To Wemberlee' song] So - whenever Manchester United lose a game of football - that's just fine by me!

Liverpool supporting their biggest rivals tonight and Manchester United fans (or at least a large proportion) not bothered about winning because they won't want their biggest rivals to win the league for the first time in nearly 30 years. It's like us playing Derby or Forest if they was in the same situation at the end of the day it doesn't really matter surely they will want to win to maintain there hopes of CL

ScouseFox Posted 24 April 2019 Posted 24 April 2019 not sure i’ve ever supported a team called city as much as i’m gonna tonight

We pretty much relied on parking the bus, well a mini bus when we won the league the difference was we had a super outlet with Vardy being hoof fed by Drinkwater etc with a little bit of magic thrown in by Mahrez. Not really true though? The football we played up until Christmas was unbelievable and even after that we had performances like City away, Arsenal away, Swansea at home where we seriously outplayed teams. If anything teams were parking the bus against us, dropping deep and leaving no space for Vardy in behind
CollinsLCFC Posted 24 April 2019 Posted 24 April 2019 Think City will score a hatful tonight. Man U are terrible and won't be able to handle City.

StanSP Posted 24 April 2019 Posted 24 April 2019 Apparently (according to Richard Keys so take with a pinch of salt and few more pinches), one of the assistant referees for the Manc derby is a Liverpool fan...

Seems to happen all the time. Pretty sure the last Manchester derby was reffed by Taylor (Manchester).

Yeah, weird how that happens really. You'd think there'd be at least someone totally neutral where no questions could be asked at all out of all the assistants.

The corporate facilities and all that shit might be top of the line but the pleb seats for us proles needs some serious renovation.

Went to the Utd v Liverpool league cup match about 5 years ago and we were in the box next to Ashley Youngs. Eight of us crammed into a room that could really only cater for four. The box cost the client £40k a year which is a piss take. You could tell Utd have squeezed in as many corporate boxes in as possible as the demand is so high but the food was crap and so was the service. I expected so much more for a freebie
