Silva and Iborra have done sod all let's be honest, Silva for me was not very good the last game so I'm happy for someone else to get a chance.

Better starting team than man u.

Mendy now the last man standing from the disastrous 2016 summer. Without tempting fate its almost exactly 2 years to the day he got that injury against Arsenal.

Win here is a must. Let's Ave it.

Happy with that. Mandy can't do any worse than Silva so interested to see how he gets on.

Think Okazaki and Iborra are facing the exit door.

2-0 City.

Bar silva/mendy this is exactly what I'd hoped for. Brace decision re mendy and he's dropped Morgan so purl can have no stick today for picking the old guard. Interested to see mendy. Come on you foxes, some of us fans want you to win. X

Happy with this, silva and Iborra not made that position their own, Silva seems to get off lightly on here due to his name and transfer fee, he’s been a pretty poor signing in the grand scheme of things... let’s hope Mendy offers more! Let’s see

Puel knows Mendy from his time in France so obviously saw something he liked then. Glad to see him given a chance, he was very highly rated.

Also doubt Puel has much faith in silva if he’s been dropped already

Didn't he get a knock at OT?

It might turn out to have been a factor.

I've always suspected there's a player in a fully fit Mendy. Puts a huge onus on Maddison to create though, perhaps he's in to deal with Neves. Albrighton likely in to counter their wingers. It's actually a very defensive line-up. If we fail to win pressure will mount.

Wow we were just discussing Mendy in the pre match thread. Very bold decision!

Pretty certain this decision will be vindicated.

How the fuch does Puel not know his best team yet

Maybe because Evans, Mendy and Vardy where not available to start in the last match?

Im pretty sure evans and JV would have been in last week but for injury/fitness - so 2 changes and these could be tactical  for a home game v promoted side rather than away v Man U

Bold lineup from Claude.

Hope Mendy does well, he's got his chance from nowhere lets hope he takes it.
