Indeed. Absolutely no reason to be negative at the moment.

You mean the defeat where we were probably the better side but lost it through one or two bad errors (Amarteys handball, could argue the second, Shaw's awful control has flummoxed Periera for me)? How anyone can look at the last two games and think we're doomed is beyond me. Unless of course they want us to be doomed because they don't like the manager and would rather we fail than swallow a bit of humble pie.... 20
Almo-Fox Posted 23 August 2018 Posted 23 August 2018 (edited) tough match , Southampton with only 1 point and as or Leicester puel want a win to avoid pressure from the fans and against Southampton , his previous club , must know the path to win but with the abscence of vardy , puel must overcome any obstacles to show that he has quality in his team like gray and albrighton and may be diabate and ghezzal and suitable tactics will end up wining ( I think nacho is a limited player he has the same output as Okazaki in controlling and holding the ball ) a narrow win 1-2 or a draw Edited 23 August 2018 by Almo-Fox 1
UPinCarolina Posted 24 August 2018 Posted 24 August 2018 Okazaki worldie incoming? And by that I mean he’ll head the ball off of a defender from a few yards out and it will dribble over the line. Anyways - some of you seem to relish the idea of us losing to Southampton, for some reason. It’s gross. 4
fuchsntf Posted 24 August 2018 Posted 24 August 2018 (edited) Many fans, want to put the pressure on Puel.... But I see these Vardy-free games,as the early-season test, that will test our squad,to see if it can carry the loss Of one player.."Mr Leicester". and start to put a market down for their own career beginning ,and grab their Chance,to kick start a new beginning. I want to see Puel, open the door for the younger players,if he decides to use one of our pace players as a nr9of I would welcome it, and enjoy a new journey. If fit put Shinji on the bench... I presume on the match thread, there are posters/fans just waiting /dying to slate and put their boot in on Puel on his match selection. For me it's early season, he has a free first 2 months,to see how he and his team, can develop the 1st teams tactics and style. I won't get on the pundit-chair,and jump on every selection,or individual mistakes and errors......We have to admit for a team Like us,it's hard to lose Vardy...but the squad and individuals has to prove itself/themselves and take on the challenge with Commitment and a positive attitude......We will see who wants to stand up and be counted... This has to be taken into account somewhat, a couple of unusual games which make it dificult to judge clear progress. Strange how last season 90% wanted puel out, now after a couple of signings and a fair start hes the one. The signs look fairly positive in my opinion and we'll have to see how it pans out but Struggling to see that were on the cusp of a new revolution at this stage personally?.

Popular Post Sunbury Fox Posted 24 August 2018 Popular Post Posted 24 August 2018 Just heard an interview with Hughes on the Boot Room podcast. It was pleasing to hear that he clearly hasn't done any homework on us - he was saying that he knows what to expect from us as we are "still predominantly a counter attacking team"! 12

Elaborate double bluff?
AjcW Posted 24 August 2018 Posted 24 August 2018 Seems a lot of love for our new assistant manager in the build up to this from the players, lots of laughing and joking and some good comments between the players about him on social media. Good to see! 1

foxinyourbox Posted 24 August 2018 Posted 24 August 2018 Southampton are draw specialists, 15 last season, more than anyone else. Also, they lack a strong goal threat, in their previous home game against Burnley they only managed three attempts on goal. I can't see past a nil nil draw but live in hope.

Suzie the Fox Posted 24 August 2018 Posted 24 August 2018 Just had a quick check on LCFC.com https://www.lcfc.com/galleries/829139/first-team-training-southampton Couldn't spot our new guy Söyüncü, hope the photographer just thought he wasn't photogenic and its not because he won't be playing. anyone think we will see him play or at least be on the bench for this game? Score wise i am going for a 0-1 Ihenacho with the goal in the 2nd half. ps Please dont think I am smart with the Turkish guys name. I copy pasted it from the website.
TrentFox Posted 24 August 2018 Posted 24 August 2018 Isn’t it about now that one of our ITKs posts the team up on here as a ‘random guess’! ?.

I had forgot he was injured, I'm just over excited to see him play i think
surrifox Posted 24 August 2018 Posted 24 August 2018 No JV no points I'm afraid . We're getting done 0-2 here
LCCFox96 Posted 24 August 2018 Posted 24 August 2018 (edited) Think we'll draw 1-1 or, hopefully, knick it by a goal. I think he'll go unchanged from the Wolves game but with Iheanacho coming in for Vardy. For me, I'd love to see Iheanacho really rise up to the game and bag a goal or two. He's had a strong pre-season and I thought he played well at United. He's got everything there to score a hatful at this level. Other things one my 'I'd love to see' list include another strong game from Mendy, Evans and Maguire playing like they did in the second half vs Wolves and Ricardo doing more Ricardo stuff. Let's go Leicester! Edited 24 August 2018 by LCCFox96
STUHILL Posted 24 August 2018 Posted 24 August 2018 Perhaps a 0-0 is on the cards. I don't expect Southampton to offer much in attack and I also think we will see a much improved performance from Evans too. Lots of possession from us, but without a cutting edge, is what I'm predicting. Will be very happy to be proved wrong! This is a great test for Puel. These are the games he should be looking to win, if we want a 7th/8th spot finish this season aka best of the rest!
