BenTheFox Posted 25 August 2018 Posted 25 August 2018 We've had a few nice breakaways, but the final ball has seriously been lacking. Maddison tried to release Gray far too early in our attack at the end of the half. Just carry the ball forward and play him through.
Bazly Posted 25 August 2018 Posted 25 August 2018 Maybe swapping Ricardo and Amartey could work better, or maybe moving Ricardo to RB and swapping Amartey with Albrighton and Gray for Oka. 1 1
don_danbury Posted 25 August 2018 Posted 25 August 2018 we need to concentrate we need to be warriors and fight.
coolhandfox Posted 25 August 2018 Posted 25 August 2018 Why we didn't investment in some quality in attacking position, we look woefully short in that department. Nacho like Vardy last week so isolated, midfield can't string two passes together
knitro Posted 25 August 2018 Posted 25 August 2018 0-0 away at half, can live with it. Amartey is the whipping boy of foxestalk, but there's some sort of disconnect going on there between him and Ricardo - sort that out, get Mendy or Ndidi a little higher on the pitch, we can do this. Meanwhile Arsenal should be losing and that'd be 3 losses this season - things arent so bad!
Bats8711 Posted 25 August 2018 Posted 25 August 2018 (edited) Am I the only one who really doesn't like the formation? 4231 seems to be the worst of both worlds - so much space on the wings on defence and striker is left way too isolated. On the plus side we do look a lot better defending this year, especially from corners and the like. That was something that needed cleaned up - long way to go of course, but it's better. hoping they move Ricardo to RB and put on another winger for Amartey Edited 25 August 2018 by Bats8711

reynard Posted 25 August 2018 Posted 25 August 2018 Looks like a relegation six pointer at half time. Really not convinced by Puel even if we somehow contrive to win this. 2

jonny_wright Posted 25 August 2018 Posted 25 August 2018 From watching leicester so far this season it’s obvious for me that Puel won’t be here in the new year, last weeks game isn’t blinding anyone... we’ve been poor and we should be doing better, the non stop tinkering and baffling selections aren’t helping 1
Langston Posted 25 August 2018 Posted 25 August 2018 This is no better than Huddersfield or Bournemouth away at the start of last season under Shakespeare, and Claude has better players now than CS did then. Nowhere to hide for him anymore.

Guest Posted 25 August 2018 Posted 25 August 2018 Most of you lot are far worse than our worst player. We're level away from home. 1 point will be very good. Can still see us winning this though.
Clever Fox Posted 25 August 2018 Posted 25 August 2018 Expect to see Albrighton on second half to improve our right side. Managing the game well just need to be a little better in our forward passing.

Beechey Posted 25 August 2018 Posted 25 August 2018 What was Ricardo's run I was hearing about through my frozen stream? Sounded impressive.
egg_fried_rice Posted 25 August 2018 Posted 25 August 2018 Amartey needs hooking and all our forward players need to use the ball better when they have it. A bit dull and shit, but not the horror show some are making out. I expect an improved second half.

Ya,nobody playing, covering, holding that center area,Soton have take it,and city are not contesting it so they can move forward. Mendy,Ndidi playing too much on the backfoot, even when they find space.... Soton, look good but nothing where we look like that the Blind is overran, but we need midfield to take hold.Or the defence will be found out. Redmond, endeavour but not clinical thankgod....Expected more when we did move forward, sloppy and no initiative..Though Nacho did move well, but no clean passes to him.....2nd half,we must up our tempo, and more movement through the center, defending and attacking. Anything more like this..Liverpool will kill us...
