Guest Posted 22 December 2018 Posted 22 December 2018 It's a no from me but then again people are cheering out for Rafa, Wagner and Dyche recently. All proving they can easily take a club down. Puel till the end of the season at least. I'd only remove him then if we had an elite manager wanting to take over - which is very doubtful. A change now would mean another wasted end to the season as the manager finds out about the snakes players that he has. He then brings in a few new players in the summer, who take time to settle and gel. Fans want whoever it is out before next Christmas. Management sack another ....

I think he'd come to us in a heartbeat. I think he thinks he's a much better manager than he is. Far from taking Liverpool close, he blew it with the league's best striker in his team at the time. It's still a no from me.

As you say, if we did decide to change we're more likely to have a better choice. To answer the question though, I wouldn't want Rodgers or Benitez anywhere near us. However, IF the current round of player power allegations are true and bearing in mind the history of that, how attractive a proposition do we think Leicester City are? You could almost imagine some of them wanting to be on the interview panal and dictating playing style and team selections! If it's true it's a terrible state of affairs yet again.

Quite agree, he's down-to-earth and knows what's what; as well as LCFC not being that too far from him (lives in Sheepy Magna). However, feel it's too early in his career to jump to a bigger club with bigger expectations.

Let's see what he could do with a budget as undoutably he has some decent connections. Time will tell I guess.

The_Rorab Posted 22 December 2018 Posted 22 December 2018 I think the reason I'd be okay with Rodgers managing us is because it could be SO much worse. I don't know how I'd respond to Big Sam or Mark Hughes in charge, I'd be horrified and that's only slightly an overreaction!
SheppyFox Posted 22 December 2018 Posted 22 December 2018 We already have a quality manager, why do we need this man?
Silebyfox_89 Posted 22 December 2018 Posted 22 December 2018 we wouldn't come here imo, he would prefer a bigger club.
Chrysalis Posted 23 December 2018 Posted 23 December 2018 we still have a manager and I wont speculate as its disrespectful to the current manager.

The Horse's Mouth Posted 23 December 2018 Posted 23 December 2018 Do like Brodge got a bit about him and plays good footie
Fox in the North Posted 23 December 2018 Posted 23 December 2018 Would still like to give Puel another year to see what Benkovic and Barnes can bring to the fold. If we are still middling then, yeah why not, we could do a lot worse than Rodgers (and the lack of a good manager in the market is also why I would not want to lose Puel just yet).
Foxxed Posted 23 December 2018 Posted 23 December 2018 Does he have a good reputation with young players, a young team, sticking by them, building that team and giving academy players a chance? Serious question and my question about all potential managers.
Happy Fox Posted 15 January 2019 Posted 15 January 2019 Probably a load of ? but we are linked again with Brendan Rodgers https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/3752107/brendan-rodgers-claude-puel-celtic-leicester-wanted-wish-list-manager/amp/
