Right. Anyone around me who I hear groaning or booing on Saturday, I am going to be hitting you over the head with my clapper. It's best behaviour from now on, and then this really could work out.

Yet Silva could not get a minute under Puel and worst of all fans here gave him no chance despite not seeing him play properly. Fans need to re-evaluate.

One start, two sub appearances and 130 minutes, with his only start against a team in 14th = Them being able to evaluate him.

850 minutes in the league, god knows how many in cups and done nothing = We need to re-evaluate because we didn't see him play properly.

 

There is definitely some re-evaluating that needs to happen.

Perhaps Silva is what they need, and Tielemans is what we need. Not all situations are the same. Doesn't mean that our collective eyes deceived us.

This. They have their playmaker in Fabregas, we now have ours in Tielemans. They obviously needed a more well-rounded midfielder, capable of defending and keeping it simple, we needed someone to play forwards at a quicker tempo.

@JeremyMunegu: “Adrien Silva is a master in the middle, excellent at the simple stuff.”

 

We don't need simple and efficent, we already have Mendy who can be simple and efficient. We need vision and creativity, quick and accurate line breaking passes. Not 5 yard passes sideways to someone else who has to take responsibility.

Not really. The French league isn't as good a standard as the prem. Silva was good in Portugal, will be decent in France and probably decent in most other European leagues but that doesnt mean he'll be good in the prem. He seemed far too slow on the ball in the few games i saw him play and his passing was poor. Whilst we cannot make a thorough judgement on him as he didnt play a great deal, Puel saw him in training every day and clearly thought he wasn't good enough. He didnt have a great start with us after the transfer fiasco and hes clearly never settled here.

There are simply some nice and tidy midfield players who never acclimatise to the pace of the Premiership. Inler was another example. Even Iborra to some extent.

The Premiership is just quick....we need to avoid signing this type of player again imo. Especially when they are in the twilight of their careers.

He had enough chances to at least make a statement..

He looked like a little boy lost every time he was given that chance!

He will know deep down..Going to Leicester...he will then know he has made it at last..!!

we are lucky,we were born in this fair shire...This young boy had to go through a long round journey from Brussels,needing to use Monaco has a springboard

to land this...top notch job!!!  Brussels have the French and flemmish communities with their hard differences...We have New-parks &  Braunstone

They have the Manniken-pis... ...We just take the piss!!   

Wenger came out of Monaco to go to Arsenal,he couldn't take the prawn-croisant-brigade and the film-stars filling up the pubs...

We had (bless him)  Bernie the star!!  And gud ol'  Baltis,and  fish n chips..!!!

Tielemans is a Belgian international though and you can see why.
