Next Manager ....

Recommended Posts

The most worrying is ...neither the  Betting-companies,nor our fans have an idea...!!!

Celtic grabbed our MON,but I don't think Celtic fans would pummel their haggis if Rodgers left...

it's now a question who gives who a lift.....Benkovic-Rodgers of Rodgers-Benkovic...or is there a diversion ahead!!!

A year ago I thought Dyche/Howe could be decent calls...not too sure now!!!

I reckon the management have again been caught cold....Nobody on the horizon or even in a ticked-box!!

Foreigners can be an hit or miss...

most important now..how are the players going to react. Have they really got the attitude ,skills and quality to give us 6-8 performances from

remaining games?? and 3-4 wins to guarantee safety and not dive into the dirty knickers zone!!

Is Tielemans interested..??

maybe Nacho, can rekindle his career ..

Could Wes.Morgan take us over until EOS, he's got his tattoo license..

Not sure why any manager with options would want to come to Leicester, TBH. At this point we’ve earned the rep as a club where players (and their wives and dads) get managers axed. And the xenophobic fan base doesn’t help either.

Any smart candidate would make Vardy and Schemichel being sold a condition of accepting the job.

We do talk ourselves down a bit. In terms of racism etc generally we tend to be one of the best/least. Puel's nationality had nothing to do with it and I don't see how we have a xenophobic fan base that's just simply not true

Xenophobic ? Accuse fans of stereotyping by doing the same, class that .

Appleton in until May for me. I think now as pathetic as it is the season's got to be about arresting the slide and keeping things ticking over once we're safe. Around 3 wins should be enough (probably even less but we can surely pull 3 wins out of these fixtures now). He spoke highly of the dressing room and he wasn't a bad caretaker last time albeit for two games.

Doing this also then buys us the time to really plan what we're going to do next.

I'd be quite happy with either Rodgers or Benitez to be honest. They're very different managers but I think both are capable of making us a good side, a better one than we have been the title win anyway. Benitez is quite safety first but he's not exactly going to park the bus at home to sides like Brighton and Palace. It's totally overblown how negative he and his football is based on a small number of games against top teams, working with a side without anything like our resources. The Almiron signing proves as well he isn't averse to flair although I doubt someone who has achieved what he has in the game could be that narrow minded anyway. Seen plenty saying that Newcastle could've won 5-0 at the weekend but for better finishing - can you honestly say that about a single game of ours this year?

I for one have been witness to the English managers on here get a lot more respect and leeway than the foreign managers. Even as an Englishman I have to admit it is true. The constant longing for an English manager etc. Well this is a results business and at the.moment we don't have many world class managers to choose from. That is why those clubs who are richest buy the best. How many Top 6 teams have an English manager? They get results. Modern football. Win big competitions. How many have we won lately.

If Rodgers is keen bring him in now, better to head start planning for next season anyway.

His Celtic team have practically wrapped up the title now.

Agreed... plus there might be competition for him. Wouldn’t be surprised to see our usual competitiors looking for managers either (West ham and Everton)

I dont agree with people posting lists from bookies, quoting next manager odds.

The odds are outrageous and akin to theft of inexperiened punters money, just the kind of person to bet on the next manger.

If you want to bet on the manager the only palce for fair odds is betfair

For example from the above list

rogers is 11/4 betfair instead of 2/1

appleton 11/1 instead of 6/1

rafa 12/1 instead of 9/1

Do fellow forumite's, who like a bet a ,favour and post the correct odds(or nearly) from betfair

For anyone actually thinking of betting on the next manager market, different bookies have different payout rules. Some count caretakers, some don’t.

So if we got Appleton till end of season then Rodgers in summer, some bookies would consider Appleton a winner and Rodgers a loser, other bookies would settle it the complete opposite. So do your research if you’re going to dabble. Betfair sportsbook amd betfair exchange have different odds and may have different settlement rules, too.

Given that usually reliable sources are reporting this and also some sources North of the Border, you'd have to assume that Brendan Rodgers is the clear first choice target. I'd be very pleased if we get him in as I think he still has a lot to prove in the Premier League and would be a good LONG term choice.

I’m gonna stick my neck out and say I’d like Dyche and his back room staff.

This squad need a rocket up their asses and I think Dyche could make changes whilst still having the respect of the players.

He’s an established Premiership manager and has done wonders really with Burnley.

He’d be my pick

He has done wonders with Burnley but hes had little pressure on him as they have no expectations and are just happy being in the league. If they finish 17th they are fine with it. Even if they got relegated he'd not be sacked. Switch that to the pressure of Leicester and the expectancy of finishing 7/8th, playing good football, having a go at the cups and it changes completely. I'm just not convinced by Dyche and he really is a moaning bastard!
