MPH Posted 16 April 2019 Posted 16 April 2019 Just wanted to know people’s thoughts.... you can’t fault his efforts, just wish he’d have scored more... and should he be worried when we are linked with more wide men?
Nicolo Barella Posted 16 April 2019 Posted 16 April 2019 I'm happy. He has had two or three excellent shots that were all saved well. Many more wayward ones but they'll come with time. His attacking interplay is excellent, plausibly the best in the squad. Nice creativity. He could be more consistent, but that will come.
Ted Maul Posted 16 April 2019 Posted 16 April 2019 I'm happy- he's come back in and become our best winger in the space of a couple of months. The goals will come.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 16 April 2019 Posted 16 April 2019 Solid enough. Needs to kick on next season and not fall into the Demarai Gray rut.
leicesterlad1989 Posted 16 April 2019 Posted 16 April 2019 Newcaslte aside, where they were all bad, I think he's been positive in all the games he has played. Far more excited about the prospect of him playing next season than I am Gray.
glenny_fox Posted 16 April 2019 Posted 16 April 2019 Really happy with his play in general. Goals and assists will come in time as we've seen what he can do when he gets going (West Brom). He is the most exciting player we have in the squad in terms of his directness, which has been a joy to see. Him and Chilwell seem to have zero connection at the moment though which has been a shame, but that will hopefully develop with time,
weller54 Posted 16 April 2019 Posted 16 April 2019 I'm not convinced he's ready to play week in, week out. With hindsight perhaps he should have stayed at WBA until the end of the season to develop further.
sylofox Posted 16 April 2019 Posted 16 April 2019 I think he's played well and goals will come. But I do think him and Chilly need to work on the relationship more. Times when neither knows what the other is doing. Two or three times it happened against Newcastle.
KFS Posted 16 April 2019 Posted 16 April 2019 Think he’s great personally, so positive and his pace and dribbling give teams another thing to think about when playing us. Needs to sharpen up his shooting and he’ll be one of our best players.

Lcfc-1992 Posted 16 April 2019 Posted 16 April 2019 Looking forward to seeing how he does in the last 3 games of the season when we counter attack abit more

Think of it the other way, how does our squad look with him still at WBA? Maddison left wing and Tielemans in CAM is the answer with much more Ghezzal game time. No thanks.
urban.spaceman Posted 16 April 2019 Posted 16 April 2019 Yes. He's been hugely exciting though quite unlucky not to have more goals.
lgfualol Posted 16 April 2019 Posted 16 April 2019 Yeah he is dangerous. I am worried he might get benched by a new recruit in the Summer if he doesn't start adding goals though.
Haywood_6 Posted 16 April 2019 Posted 16 April 2019 Yes but I'm hoping he'll score before the end of the season at least once
FerrisBueller Posted 16 April 2019 Posted 16 April 2019 Yes, I'd already put him ahead of Gray. He puts a shift in and beats his man, has put plenty of decent balls in to good areas (and nobody has attacked them). His positioning is a bit suspect sometimes, against Newcastle he was obviously frustrating Chilwell by not getting wide and getting sucked in to the middle. All in all though, a very tidy player who is only gonna get better.
Xen Posted 16 April 2019 Posted 16 April 2019 Happy with how he's played, slightly dissapointed with his output, but that'll come with time and experience. Once he breaks his duck it'll lift a weight off his shoulders and he can push on. Almost feels like - sometimes - he's trying a bit too hard to make it happen. Still seems like its not quite clicking between him and Chilwell, but when it does it's great to watch.
Saxondale Posted 16 April 2019 Posted 16 April 2019 Yeah. We know he isn't the finished product yet, but he'll continue to improve.
Bagworthblue Posted 16 April 2019 Posted 16 April 2019 As a coach myself, he drives me nuts but it will come with coaching. On the ball, fine, he just needs to keep plugging away and he will develop. Off the ball, if you watch him, he's often caught on his heels, often goes to sleep, and he reacts too much rather than being proactive. If he can improve his concentration, stay alert for longer in games and be a bit more consistent, he will develop into a hell of a player. For his 1st few games in the prem though, he's showing a lot of promise.
Guest SO1 Posted 16 April 2019 Posted 16 April 2019 Patience. He's not going back on loan. Exactly the player Rodgers craves and needs for his attacking unit. Give me 5 more(Not a criticism). Looking forward to this all coming together. In Time.
MC Prussian Posted 16 April 2019 Posted 16 April 2019 We need to have patience with the lad, only come up to the Premier League recently. Dribbling skills, speed, vision, energy. Fantastic. Reminds me of Hazard a little bit. But just like Gray, he needs to find more composure in front of goal. Too wasteful still. Regard the last four matches as one big testing ground on an individual basis.
SouthStandUpperTier Posted 16 April 2019 Posted 16 April 2019 I'm not happy with that photo Sky Sports have of him for the team line-ups.
