Eddie Howe has done a brilliant job to keep Bournemouth in the top flight for this many years, playing attacking football. To say otherwise is plain wrong. Sheff It's are a much much bigger club than Bournemouth and have had to travel less far to get into the PL.

Where Bmouth have fallen down is recruitment, they've splashed the PL cash on some very average players and that's the reason why they will go down this year

That, and the fact that after however long it's been, they still can't defend.

Sheffield United’s wage budget probably still wouldn’t be in the top 6 in the championship. Wilder’s shown Dyche and Howe up as far as I’m concerned

I think he has shown football up to be honest. Everyone talks about tactics / formations / style of play. Sheffield United have a very solid 352 but Wilder insists that everything starts with hard work. Nowadays coaches get lost thinking about their coaching philosophy and having to play exactly that way. Sheffield United and Wilder have been brilliant this season.

Only English football could have a hectic schedule, get to the penultimate weekend and have the riveting prospect of Norwich v Burnley at 5.30 on a Saturday

Howard Wilkinson on Leeds promotion;

"It means more to the Premier League than maybe it does to Leeds," Wilkinson told BBC Sport.

Wow and that guy was the FA technical director at some point :facepalm:

It means F all to the Premier League and everything to Leeds fans.

What a stupid comment.

These saying the PL will be better with them are all the oldies that remember Leeds being half decent... the PL was getting on just fine for the last 16 years without them and had more European winners than ever.

Absolutely. Good coaching and building a team and a transfer strategy can be much more powerful than just spending on players.

We know. Got a Premier League trophy to prove it :D

Brentford or Fulham will win the play offs.

Fulham are still within a shout aswell. Nowt against Brentford but as you say too many london clubs in the premier league at present, it wouldn't be so bad if we lost one like West Ham, but there safe by the looks of things.

We are fifth at worst.  fivethirtyeight.com shows these numbers.  Maybe optimistic in our case (they don’t factor in injuries/squad depth) but better than the nonsense in that table.

I know it’ll be logical mathematically, but we’re 4th and that’s that least likely position that we’ll finish. Seems odd.
