evil jack Posted 8 May 2019 Posted 8 May 2019 I've said this before, but I just loved how during the 15/16 season, he was consistently targeted as our 'weak link' by fans of other teams. Right before we played them and beat them.
UniFox21 Posted 8 May 2019 Posted 8 May 2019 This will leave a tear in your eye... The section on feeling at home and part of a family really sums up the squad. We'd picked up a lot of journey men, playing for new clubs every year or so, and gave them a place to put their all into and develop as people and players. Nothing will ever rival that year, a title built on hard work and a never say die attitude.
EastAnglianFox Posted 8 May 2019 Posted 8 May 2019 That is the most genuine and heart felt message to a club i think ive ever read. Seriously hope he gets a heck of a send off at the weekend
Babylon Posted 8 May 2019 Posted 8 May 2019 Sad when any of those boys leave. Good luck Danny and thank you for the greatest season of our lives.
Jattdogg Posted 8 May 2019 Posted 8 May 2019 Gunna miss this guy. Hope he finds a starting gig somewhere non cvnty

Ozwin Posted 8 May 2019 Posted 8 May 2019 He arrived with a lot of apparent baggage, a bit of a bad boy, a bit of a big time Charlie. He leaves a legend.
Corky Posted 8 May 2019 Posted 8 May 2019 Surprised me hugely with his consistency in that season. Hope he has a positive move and can continue his career at a decent level.

Wolves got 7th this year with what, 7? The times they are a changing. If Sheffield play with 3 at the back, they can still pay defensively overall but have stabbing fullbacks. That's point of the system.

Wolves got clean sheets because they play 3 centre halves that sit in, Neves that never leaves his own half and one of the best goalkeepers in the league. Sheffield United are different and won't be finishing 7th.
Guest TaggertvsWise Posted 8 May 2019 Posted 8 May 2019 Cruelly overlooked for any England recognition in my opinion. Even a training camp/squad member. Vastly underrated by those who didn’t watch him week in, week out. He’s right, he changed so much and it was great to see that.
M0901 Posted 8 May 2019 Posted 8 May 2019 Better love story than Twighlight (Danny's Instagram post).
Paninistickers Posted 8 May 2019 Posted 8 May 2019 I've absolutely enjoyed watching him play for us, his reading of the game, a remarkable back post covering defender. Fortunately, one of the many stars that aligned in the title winning season was us having an Italian manager recognising a very Italian style defender Finally, I enjoyed the fact he was always a bit mischievous. A nice little bit of edge, arrogance and tongue in cheek to his social media. All the very best, Danny.
Deeg67 Posted 8 May 2019 Posted 8 May 2019 Sad to see him go, but fans in the lower sections are surely going to feel a lot safer now. No need to be vigilant at all times when the ball is played out of the back.

Yet another sign that Riyad has perhaps realized the grass isn’t greener. Would welcome him back in a heartbeat. I’ll never feel any ill will for anyone that was part of that squad, Danny will always be welcomed back wherever he ends up next.

They are good on the break and fairly solid at the back. I think next season will be fascinating for them. They might have the same syndrome we had in 16/17 I.e being found out.
wokinghamfox Posted 9 May 2019 Posted 9 May 2019 We talk about underwhelming signings, well Danny in my eyes was probably the most overwhelming. Great servant never to be forgotten.
UniFox21 Posted 9 May 2019 Posted 9 May 2019 Not many club owners will do things like this to 'save face' or whatever. Legends.
Foxy Mofo Posted 9 May 2019 Posted 9 May 2019 https://www.90min.com/posts/6363831-leicester-bid-farewell-to-two-immortals Article I have done on his and Shinji's departure.
sm1 Posted 9 May 2019 Posted 9 May 2019 Danny finally getting some long over due recognition. Lovely tweets from Riyad and Top.
